    No, BresLOW wasn’t awful over the winter. He signed some pretty good players. I didn’t want Bregman signed for the money he was demanding and am happy with Durbin. But he didn’t finish the job. He fixed the pitching and defense but did an incomplete job with the offense. We could have been a much better team. He dropped the ball.

    Yup. And EVERYONE will get to see the Flops franchise wiggle around out of serious consideration for a ring like a fish out of the water for a few more years. I can hardly wait for the excuses after the WC series has been lost. Again.

    It didn't have to be Alonso, though he certainly would have helped. The fact is that we needed at least one more good bat over the winter to be serious competitors for a ring-and Breslow failed to get him. Some of his moves worked out, but he needed to do more. I would have fired him.

    Yeah they are. They have a bunch of young players who got promoted this year. Don’t expect too much from them. They’ll probably make the playoffs but no really be competitive for a cup.

    Ummm…the were in the Superbowl last year. I wouldn’t be calling this team the Flops if they had made it to the WS. Instead they only made a guest appearance in the PO. Hence, they are the FLOPS

    The B’s open their season on Tuesday. They’re rebuilding this year. Not expecting much from any of the New England teams.

    I didn’t claim it had anything to do with being fragile . It was an assessment of their performance
