  1. Have to admit, assuming they are going to lose just about every remaining game I’d rather see players who are actually trying out there rather than bums who are already thinking of their golf games
  2. For the right price he’d be fine as a #5-6 in the rotation. Maybe $8-10m a year.
  3. Hilarious! Middlebrooks just called this “a must win”. What planet is he living on?
  4. He’s doing what the team needs from him
  5. The Flops are doing exactly what they need to do to improve their draft position. The question is, can we catch Toronto for last place. I think it’s full throttle to last!
  6. YES!! 5-2 What a bunch of disgusting bums….
  7. 3-2 Rays Go Rays! We have 12 games left in the season and we need to lose them all. Draft position is important! Full throttle!
  8. I think he would make an excellent #5-6 SP if the price was right.
  9. Ok so it wasn’t a foot outside but a strikeout anyway We need to trade him
  10. Here comes strike 3 on a ball outside by a foot
  11. Why are they even throwing Rafaela a strike-ever?
  12. Rafaela with a bat in his hands is a waste
  13. Actually, you’re right. Benching him won’t make a difference to him or to the team. I hope it works out for him. I hope he manages to obtain some discipline in what he swings at-for his sake and for the sake of the team. But if he doesn’t improve I don’t want him on my team. I’d give him another year.
  14. Only twice in his career did he hit over.250. He had only one good year, 2020, when he hit .283. He hit .133 last year with KC which fired him. Pitchers are discovering that there’s no reason to throw Rafaela a strike. Despite his defensive prowess if he doesn’t improve greatly he’s not long for this team.
  15. I certainly hope you’re right. If he could even manage.750 OPS he could play on my team as long as there are others on the team who are better offensively.
  16. This one is spot on. Are you claiming that Rafaela has even passable K zone recognition? He looks silly with a bat in his hands. Unless that miraculously improves he’s going to suffer the same fate as JBJ-or worse because at least Bradley had a few good years with the bat. My bet is that he will never have passable plate recognition and won’t be with the team in 4-5 years max.
  17. Bradley couldn’t make contact most seasons. That’s why, despite his obvious defensive abilities he was jettisoned from every team he played for-starting with this team.
  18. Can’t handle the truth is how I interpret your post
  19. Nobody is doubting his amazing defensive ability. Just like Rafaela. Great defensively. I don’t think Rafaela will even achieve the few good offensive seasons JBJ had. Not unless his plate discipline greatly and miraculously improve. We don’t need a no hit CFer. Unfortunately they signed him to an extension meaning he’s going to play every day, displacing someone more valuable to the team. Read Fox’s article.
  20. He had a couple of good years with a bat. That’s probably more than Rafaela will ever have-unless he learns not to swing at pitches a couple of feet outside the zone.
  21. If he was so great why is he now relegated to the Long Island Ducks? Answer: he was a disaster with a bat in his hands. Just like Rafaela.
  22. Good article about his total lack of plate discipline on this forum. You should read it. We got rid of someone like him not long ago-JBJ. I think he’s out of baseball now. Correction: JBJ is playing for the Long Island Ducks. Maybe they could use another good defensive player.
