Agree with trading Duran> Abreu. But right now we are a bad team for the fourth year in a row. And there’s really no cogent reason for optimism this year or likely next. Something drastic has to happen. I’d fire Breslow and Cora and start over. If the Rays can be competitive year after year with less than half our budget there’s no reason we can’t do it too. -

Close President William Taft was attending a baseball game in Pittsburgh and in between half innings (7th) he stood up to stretch. The entire crowd stood up out of respect. Hence the “Seventh Inning Stretch” was born.

It’s getting really really old watching these bums showcase their total lack of plate discipline. All of them.

It would be insane for this team to be buyers at the deadline. They are going NOWHERE this year. Management needs to face reality and plan to compete in a couple of years.

Devers has become a liability in the field. That means he is a DH. His contract is an overpay for a DH. Aside from his crap attitude its an overpay they got rid of. I say good riddance. We can do better with that money-if Henry will actually spend it. Its actually a miracle we got anything at all besides getting rid of his contract in return for ditching the prima donna.
