  1. Buehler needed to get his work in. He didn’t throw enough pitches unfortunately
  2. He had some very good seasons, didn’t he. When he was hitting and doing his magic in CF he was a joy to watch. But the point is this: overall his performance with a bat wasn’t good enough to keep him in the game. Rafaela is heading in the same direction. And because he has zero plate discipline I don’t see that changing.
  3. What a load of crap. That ump needs a good punch in the teeth.
  4. He did do ok for a while-but as you said, the wheels came off. I think he had what-10 years? And his OPS+ only made it above 89 three times. His career OPS+ is 82, which SUCKS. At the end he couldn’t find a job in the game because he couldn’t hit the baseball. He was forced out of the game at a pretty early age. Rafaela is headed in the same direction because he simply has no plate discipline. His career OPS+ is 84, which also sucks. I don’t see him getting better at the plate. If we want to contend for a ring we have to do better than Rafaela.
  5. The wind knocked that down. Guess who’s up! Lets move on to the next inning.
  6. Pointing out the obvious about Rafaela isn’t out of style. He’ll be gone within two years max. Should be much shorter.
  7. Yup Hes a great CFer. Just like JBJ-who is no longer in baseball. How many runs had he cost us because he can’t hit?
  8. Statistics are a bitch, aren’t they. JBJ couldn’t find a job in baseball at age 33-because he couldn’t hit. JBJ had a career OPS+ of 82. Rafaela has a career OPS+ of 84 Same thing
  9. Did you like that last AB? Useless. JBJ from 2013-2023 had just THREE seasons with an OPS+ over 89! That SUCKS! If he was any good he wouldn’t have been forced out of the game at a young age.
  10. True But you need to be able to hit the baseball too. It’s why JBJ was forced out of the game at age 33. No one wanted him, for obvious reasons.
  11. You too are in denial. Ill be proven right about Rafaela. And yes-I will gloat about it.
  12. Hey-if you compare him with other bums you’ll be very pleased! Did you know that from 2017-2023 he had only one season with an OPS+ over 92? Great defensive player. Worthless with a bat, with rare exceptions. Just like Rafaela
  13. Acting like he was useful with a bat in his hands is foolish. He had a few moments. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes. If he was any good he wouldn’t have been forced out of the game. He wasn’t. That’s why no one wanted him even though he was good defensively and still relatively young. Same with Rafaela. He will end up the same way-early exit from baseball.
  14. Rafaela has zero plate discipline. It’s showing no signs of changing. He got his chance. Demote him. We need someone who can hit the baseball AND play a decent CF.
  15. What’s he doing nowadays? Selling use cars? JBJ was useless with a bat and eventually it forced him out of the game. Rafaela will suffer the same fate. No need to wait years for it to happen
  16. Useless yes-DEMOTE him. He’s another JBJ-and we all know how HE turned out
