  1. This... So much this.
  2. Awesome win today. Love how the SP is holdong strong so far. We're gonna be competitive this year despite the mainstream media's take.
  3. Had to work during this game, wow what a game I missed. I only miss 10-12 a year, and I miss a 13-0!
  4. Was that Kevin Millar wearing the Sox beanie in the front row?
  5. Wow the summer with Pedey has definitely changed Iggy for the better.
  6. Looks like there's about 20k tickets still available if anyone wants to go to the game tonight.
  7. If its Nationally televised it will unfortunately be blacked out on MLB.tv. I'm thinking they win tomorrow and a lot more this year than people are guessing they will.
  8. The starting rotation will turn it around, and each improve by 4 wins over last year. The sox will finish with 89 wins, and a wild card game. Pedroia - Laser Show 2.0 - is an AL MVP finalist, but won't win it. Yankees miss the playoffs. Orioles finish last.
  9. And to be fair he only had 12AB in June. Did he miss Spring Training? Either way starting cold after an injury for a month isn't really unexpected. If he missed spring training the extra time to warm up makes even more sense.
  10. I'm not writing him off, but he at the moment is one dimensional. He's a liability at the plate, and not ready for prime time. When he learns to hit bring him up for good, but I think Bogaerts will beat him to full time SS. When/If Iggy is ready, and stops being one dimensional, put him at SS and move Bogaerts to first or OF. I think he'll be traded before that happens tho.
  11. I would say the same with Iggy, but they brought him up anyway. He sucked. Iggy isn't ready.
  12. It is indeed Bogaerts.
  13. http://www.tedsarmy.com/.a/6a01310f9ede0b970c0162ffcab806970d-pi :dunno:
  14. The Sox paid for Dice-K to have a translator follow him all over Boston. Hire a chaperone to follow Hamilton every where he goes, and call him out on suspect activity. I nominate myself for the position.
  15. Ah.... It makes so much sense now.
  16. Say what? Ellsbury is a much better base stealer than Victorino. 189SB in 581 games vs 201SB in 1076 games.
  17. So the Sox are paying $5million less, and out of the contract a year earlier. That's exactly the kind of deals I wanted them making this year. Higher annual salary for less years.
  18. I almost think the earlier talk about the Sox not going over two years for Hamilton, and now the chances aren't high talk are all a smoke screen. I'm thinking they're going big after Hamilton. I'm expecting Hamilton signed to a 4 year deal with a club option of a 5th.
  19. So $130-$140 million to add both. Sounds good.
  20. Even if the Sox signed Swisher at $15 per, and Hamilton to $25 per won't the payroll still be just barely over $100 million for next year? I haven't kept track on the total we've added this offseason, but I know there's a ton of room there. I think the payroll needs to be in the 125-150 million range at least considering the money this team generates off tickets, merchandise, and tv deals.
  21. I'd go 3 for 21 for Ross then sign Hunter to a two year deal. Good hitting outfield without long term contracts. Spend the real cash and long term contracts for pitching.
  22. I would say horrible pitching drug this team to last place.
  23. I agree with staying away from big ticket players out there but totally disagree with letting Ortiz walk. He's the only consistent hitter we have. I don't see what him taking a roster spot from a position player has to do with it since the position player would have to DH anyway. Ortiz hit .318 with 23 HR and 60 RBI in only 90 games. That's pretty damn good, and a pace of 46 HR and 120 RBI. Trading for that kind of production would cost a fortune.
  24. Second highest scoring team in baseball, 13.5 games out of first, and 6 under .500. Horrible.
