    So Alexi Ogando.. I'm guessing he'll get a crack at the rotation in ST, will probably end up in the bullpen or the DL though. Solid low cost high upside signing though.

    I can agree and disagree a little here. Shields is proven and effective, Darvish had a down year because of injury IIRC. His K/9 is outrageous for a starter though.

    Hanley doesn't want to play SS anymore as far as I remember. Holt would be a serviceable replacement, but he's not a starter. I honestly think he played a little over his head last season and could regress. He's definitely an off the bench utility guy. I think we sign Shields and call it a day, if he can be had for a reasonable contract, that might be the best move really. As much as I'd like to see Hamels in a sox uni, I think trading for him will simply cost too much.

    Kelly is a cost friendly option under long years of control. He has a high ceiling and a good arm, I think he should stick around for awhile, but it's possible he could be traded again. The only thing that really scares me about this guy is his low K/9 and his high FIP.

    The Hanley deal was a steal. Panda was more expensive and isn't as good.. so yeah.
