    Even if the Sox passed on Hamilton, I highly doubt he would even be available.. I think he stays in Texas.

    Even though we don't necessarily need hitting, and Mauer's contract is pretty ugly.. I wouldn't hate giving up Doubront for this guy, he would be a solid option at 1B to split with Gomez, and a good backup catcher as well.. We need pitching more than anything of course, but this would be a solid offensive acquisition for damn sure.

    I don't think the amount of prospects we'd have to shell out would be worth the limited time Felix would still be under team control. Big free agent money there, and after we just got out of some gigantic contracts, I don't know it's the right thing to do to go out and get some more.

    Gomez starts at 1b, Loney platoons if he's even still on the roster.. Salty would probably butcher 1b Ross may be a good fill-in option LaRoche wouldn't be a terrible option, out of free agency, but not necessarily a good option either.. I say Gomez for sure.

    Hamilton stays in Texas, I don't see him going anywhere else. I highly doubt the rotation gets a big name FA, unless it's on a 1yr rental or something.. The 2013 rotation is probably going to be Lester, Buch, Webster, Lackey, Doub/Morales

    Shields feels like another Beckett to me. Careers numbers are very similar, Shields also seems to perform better on certain years. He would command too much money also. Pass.
