    back when they first courted Beltran, around the time he was leaving the Stros' /prior to signing with the Mets..he was reluctant to sign with the Yanks..

    yeah, true..but my worry is with the construction of their roster(ie age) that spo( DH) could still be in flux...i feel like his max contribution needs to be behind the dish..

    i think the Yanks will need to take steps to help the longevity of that contract..among the group of Murphy/Romine/Sanchez one (or perhaps two) of them will need to develop into a ML level catcher by at least year 3 of McCann's deal, able to take on any extended amounts of PT...

    couple of general questions...1)does Alex's actions possibly cloud the arb's thought process going forward 2) what effect if any will have on MLB's position 3)if he was serious about his walkout, can he forced back??

    @ username...Jax also used the word abysmal...meaning results-wise...IMO the unlucky part was IRT players at the upper levels(where the Yanks needed them the most) couldn't stay healthy for nothing...as a whole, there's pretty much no denying our minor league seasons were awful

    oh, no doubt the Rays have imploded on D in this series..i have no doubt they'll still get after it at the Trop...i wouldn't dismiss them just yet, but as a Yanks fan, witnessing firsthand how relentless the Sox lineup is...no way they are beating the Sox 3 straight times...if at all..this goes 4 the most..

    pretty self evident...playing great D..raked Moore and Price for 19 runs other than CBuch pitching a shutout..can't see them being any better than that...

    i played for Youth Service when i was 16....we used watch the 14 yr old division play on the far fields, one team had this skinny(at the time) kid that just hit rockets....had no idea that kid turned out to be Manny Ramirez..

    i had made my peace with this after 2011, because i was sure he was going to call it then...hope he and the team go out and have a great season....not looking forward to the day, but until the close of the 2013 season.......Enter Sandman...
