    BV knows that his starters can only go 6 innings max. He has decided that each reliever has their role to stretch them out over several days to cover up for a rotation who doesn't go deep into games.

    Nava is underestimated. He may not be prototypical Major Leaguer but he has more heart. Red Sox have gotten more out of him in the last 15 games than CC for the first half of last year.

    As I said before Byrd is terrible against right handed hitters that's why he was pinch hit for last night. Couldn't pinch run for Nava because wwe don't have any outfielders.

    Bard is behind on every hitter. Now the O's annoucers are wondering how long the Red Sox will stick with Bard as a starter.

    This is the best O's team in 15 years . Barring injuries they will be a contender all year.

    Gonzo shouldn't be playing right field in Fenway. Baltimore ok but Fenway is too risky. I'd put Youk in left at Fens before I'd do that.

    A Maine accent is slightly different from a Boston accent. Years ago, Yankee magazine did a great story on the differences among NE accents. BTW have you ever had Grapenut Ice Cream? Gary Torne did a great bit on the joys of Grapenut Ice Cream several weeks ago.

    Buchholtz's mechanics and delivery are all screwed up. Earlier in the year he was pitching "up hill" leaving everything up in the zone. Now if you notice he finishes off balance with a hop and somethimes he doesn't. He can't repeat his delivery.
