  1. I hope we have seen the last of Bard as a starter. This experiment has failed utterly. The only question is whether this has ruined his usefullness in the bullpen as many of us feared.
  2. I think BV will have Aceves close tonight as well. Just a hunch
  3. I agree the problem wasn't trading Reddick. THe problem was what they got in return. This why most of us think Cherries is over his head as a GM
  4. Barney Fife will be shaking so much he won't make it through three.
  5. Great game by The bullpen zero earned runs. Lacklester 7 earned runs.
  6. That would have been gone in the TROP
  7. Like I said they don't have the starters mentality who feel entitled to certain calls and pout when they don't get them.
  8. These arrogant entitled starters don't listen to pitching coaches
  9. We have seen this attitude problem all year from the Sox starters who feel entitled. Notice we don't see it from the bull pen. They just pitch.
  10. Reddick wasn't appreciated here because he is a defensive liability especailly in right field in Fenway. Did you see his play the last time at Fenway when he was with the A's. I don't think much of Cherrington as a GM but he gets a pass on this one. The Sox couldn't foresee that they would have 7 outfielders on the DL at the same time. Yes Reddick is putting up some good numbers now but he is streaky. He did so with the Sox. Given his past history and his defensive shortcomings, I don't think it was a bad deal
  11. Nava recent ML stint will mean he has a future (limited) as a reserve outfielder somewhere in the major leagues for another year or two.
  12. If your larger point is the FO is doing Bard a diservice or screwed up his transition to starter then I agree, since it was ill conceived from the onset. But this is what Bard wanted. And the lesson may be; "be careful what you wish for".
  13. Now I know why your handle is "Jung". You are over analyzing it. Bard wanted to start. He got his wish regadless of what the FO wanted or didn't want. If he has the heart of lion he'll make the most of it . If not he'll can't say he wasn't given the opportunity. As Thomas Aquinas said, "Life is tough"
  14. This is what he wanted. If he has the heart of a champion he will be fine. If not, c'est la guerre!
  15. If you think O's annoucers are bad on TV they're worse on radio. Even O's fans can't stand them.
