  1. I have a hard time thinkin' you could trade Youk anywhere at the moment and make it work. Don't see anybody with enough interest to get us anything in return even if packaged with somebody. We would probably end up paying a chunk of his salary no matter what we did.
  2. That could not have worked out better....Peavy must be Peaved. Gonna go kick Dunn in the nuts for that running mistake on the base paths earlier in the game. Great performance from Lester and the bullpen came through for a change.
  3. Really wondering who V brings in for the 9th. May depend on whether we get any insurance in the top half.
  4. Sorry...Dunn...
  5. Nice recovery by Morales. Kept pounding Dunn inside and did not leave one out over the plate. Now for Mr Padilla.
  6. Well that was not a very good pitch
  7. Wonder if V is still going to bring in Padilla in the 8th or will go elsewhere now that the Sox have gotten past the 7th. I would think he will go elsewhere
  8. Way to go Jon and Pedey!
  9. Well I think for me where that was a bit of a disappointment is that grounds crews will either "landscape" the foul lines to help the ball go out or help it stay in. Clearly these foul lines are made to help the ball stay fair and the Sox should know that by now as we have had a couple of these in the last couple days. 20/20 hindsight but likely should have charged and taken his chances throwing it over. Very little chance it seems for that kind of ball to go foul in this park.
  10. They have the gas heater going in the dugout...turn that sucker off!
  11. I had to walk the dogs quick...did that actually happen?
  12. Nice inning Jon....Is this maybe the best 1-5 Jon has had since Detroit?
  13. Agreed....has to be so frustrating for pitchers to feel like they have to come up because they aren't getting low strikes.
  14. Hope Bird is OK....Jon has gotten the ball up in the zone more since the first inning as well. Maybe both of these guys are coming up in response to the ump's strike zone.
  15. I wonder if Peavy is up in the zone because he is struggling or as a response to the ump not giving up any strikes at the bottom of the strike zone.
  16. Peavy finally burned up in the Strike Zone....Agons RBI
  17. Rose has had such a bad stretch injury wise.
  18. Second bat Peavy has sawed off. Good break for us though.
  19. Can tell Jon is still not happy with balls/strikes but seems to have resigned himself to a slow burn as opposed to screaming at the guy. Maybe that is working better for him.
  20. This might be a battle of which starting pitcher has the top of his head come completely off screaming at the home plate ump.
  21. Wow this ump does not know where the bottom of the strike zone is...at least he appears to be consistent.
  22. And Mr First Pitch makes his usual appearance
  23. Not sure where the hell that one was either
