If Ace can just get through this inning I would bet on a 10th inning HR for the Sox. As bad as things have gone....they can't go all bad all the time.

I was really surprised that d-mac even gave that a shot and more surprised that the O's did not try to cut him down. It was not hit to the right side which is why I missed it in the first place. Must have been hit just close enough to up the middle and slow enough for d-mac to get over.

Unfortunately this does not help the Sox. I have thought for awhile now that it won't take much for at least one WC to come out of the West....maybe no WC will come out of the east and you will have to win the division to even get into the post season

Understood but that is why I posted what I posted...I think a guy like Miller would have been totally thrilled going to the dugout and then coming back out and pitching another inning cause that is what he used to do. Frankly we will never know. Maybe he did not have more than an inning in him all things considered...I guess I would not have done it JUST for the reason Gammon's mentioned If the top of the order was coming up then I could not under any circumstances have found a reason to keep Miller in there.
