  1. DeJesus still has no idea what is going on back at that wall.
  2. Should have had a better cut at that Will.
  3. These umps are awarded post season births on merit????? Ya' gotta' be s***ing me!
  4. Damn that had 6-4-3 written all over it
  5. Price's location is nothing to write home about so far. No telling if it will keep up but these four runs in three innings are no fluke.
  6. JFC can we go back in time and find this umps mother before giving birth and just nip this whole f***ing thing in the bud? My blood is boiling and we are ahead!
  7. That was a bloop hit by Ells but that was not a good location by Price and neither was the pitch to Vic.
  8. f*** you Price you dick.
  9. DeJesus seems to have no idea where the ball is going out there in left.
  10. Here comes the Lackey pitch sequence machine. Nice job John.
  11. Two days in a row of these announcers is about all I can take.....tired of them rattling off stats and reminiscing about the old days. Would be nice to actually hear something about the game right in front of them.
  12. f***ing gift run in a post season game....******* ump
  13. Some of these pitches are embarrassing misses by the ump. There is blind and then there is BLIND. So far won't give him anything on the black outside and that is where Lackey is trying to go.
  14. Come on ump what the f*** are you looking at. Lackey is getting squeezed something fierce.
  15. Maddon has had Price going a long way lately. Baring being bombed I suspect Maddon is just going to stick with Price regardless of pitch count.
  16. Oh how I love having a lead on Price early. Keep turnin' the screws on these guys.
  17. Lackey is all over the mound so far. Motion is a little erratic early. Not usual though....one of the reasons 1st innings can be so tough on pitchers.
  18. So looking forward to this game. Got Price, one of the best pitchers in the game today...against Lackey who this year has consistently shown hitters the best sequences of any Boston starter other than Buch who also uses terrific sequences against hitters. Buch has better stuff and can dominate more often. But the way Lackey works hitters is a thing of beauty.
  19. The Sox were a bit off early in Game 1 and Farrell said as much. If I had my druthers, the Sox would not have extra time off in the post season. There is enough built in time off as you go deeper into the post season to begin with....they don't need more four and five day or longer breaks. Eight plus days off buried the Rockies in the WS before it ever got started. They never had a chance and were swept out of that series before they knew what hit them.
  20. Depending on how Det/Oak goes, the very best result might be a four game series win for the Sox. Extended periods off the field are the biggest enemy the Sox would have at this point.
  21. Hit by that old reading deficiency again I see.
  22. I don't think people believe Maddon a bad manager unlike that other guy that also reads too many of his own press clippings and is no longer gracing any dugout. I do think people believe that Maddon does spend too much time looking for his own press clippings. I also think many believe Maddon goes a little bit too far especially when he implies that he has some innate understanding for how a player on another team or a whole bunch of players on some other team feel about something or think about something. That is all to get under a player's skin. It is a waste of time and if anything it does make Maddon look stupid. He either thinks himself some sort of mind reader....stupid and/or thinks anybody cares....also stupid. Maddon's been running the same game on everybody for so long that there can't possibly be an opponent player left on the planet that would pay any attention to him. Beyond too much shifting and playing too many of his "genius" hunches he seems to be a pretty decent manager though with as many good points and flaws to recommend him as Farrell. Maddon sets himself up as some sort of guru though. As a result when he does make an obvious mistake we tend to jump on it more or notice it more. He makes plenty of them.....buckets of them....as does just about anybody occupying the ultimate second guessed job. He is a card carrying ******* though and he is always going to be hated on that score alone.
  23. This game 1 went as if it was scripted. Rays defense cracks in the 4th inning....piling even more pitches on opponent starter who is already being put through Red Sox meat grinder.....Starter soon gone, Sox feasting on bullpen while their own starter pitches very very well into the late innings. Could have been any of dozens of regular season games maybe with the possible exception of Lester going a little deeper than usual for him. End result, Maddon and his Rays mates sink back into the muck and sand at the bottom of the ocean with the rusting beer cans and used rubbers....a fitting end for them. Detroit/Oakland looked about like a scripted Tigers regular season game. Oakland stuck in K-ville
