  1. The Trop is such a terrible place to play that I think the only way to even be marginally comfortable playing there is for it to be your home park and thus the place where you play 81. It works for the Rays unfortunately as they have some additional confidence playing there...almost like if you were Sox and you knew DeJesus was going to be lost out there in LF at Fenway. At the Trop you know something idiotic is going to happen....like losing it in the lights or losing it in the roof or having it bang off the catwalk. I guess there is no feasible way out of the contract the Rays have with the place. So, even if they want to leave, they are stuck. I can't see playing there being worth more than one win for the Rays though......if that.
  2. Awful awful broadcast. I wonder if they don't think that the guys they throw together are doing broadcasts all year for somebody...."how bad can it be"? TBS itself is doing baseball broadcasts all year long. But they are just so bad.....and I think the importance of the game, the heightened intensity makes us expect more (rightfully so) and we get like little league broadcasts! I don't know how many are still on now watching Oak/Det but you can see a giant dif at least from the announce crew.....immediately more engaged in the game that is right in front of them instead of all this other horse s***. Of course, who is out there? Eck and Don.
  3. Actually not only are these announcers s*****, they have just about tossed as much love at the Rays as they usually reserve for the Spanks. The whole f***ing game you could just about see them dying for the Rays to come back and win.....*******s.
  4. And we have buch for that dungeon the Trop. As iffy as Lackey was tonight I would hate to see what would have happened to him in the Trop.
  5. And this is why Maddon had no choice but to stay with Price. His pen has been total hot and cold and when cold icccccce cold. In fact I am inclined to think Maddon taking Price out was his version of the white flag...figuring his team has little to no chance of scoring three runs in one inning.
  6. Probably less than 1% after the HR. Koji throws too many strikes and it would likely take at least one walk....maybe two for the Rays to score three runs.
  7. Really was more talking about Bres at that point in the game. I would have been very reluctant to keep Bres there at that point with Price still in the game AND pitching as he was at that point. Frankly Pedey bailed everybody out with a great play on that ball and a great turn on the DP. It is not like that was some weak assed dribbler. That whole inning could easily have ended up with tie ballgame and Price hurling peas.
  8. Justice from the baseball gods...pushed that foul ball back in play.
  9. Price was s*** up until the 6th and 7th. Not getting anything up in the zone any longer and hurling peas......typical big game pitcher muscling up for the later innings.
  10. Don't really understand Farrell there although he has sort of done this kinda' stuff with any kind of lead all regular season. I would be more understanding if Price was out of the game. Maddon will have Price go 120+ here tonight if he is still pitching good and if he has to.
  11. f***ing Pedey...thank you Pedey...thank you Pedey....thank you Pedey...
  12. You knew the BB was coming
  13. If you are going to try to entice ya' gotta throw something better than that...that was a total waste pitch on 2-2
  14. The only problem I had was the very end. I don't like seeing pitchers that exposed. By the end I don't think John could have gotten another hitter out. He could no longer keep enough pitches down in the zone to get a hitter out before he got something so juicy to swing at that no professional hitter could miss it. But that cost us a run at most...could have been worse but it wasn't.
  15. Very nicely done...nice job by Bres...nice job by Drew
  16. Come on Farrell...he's not getting RH hitters out now and his location is really suffering.
  17. s*** I'll take the walk but would have preferred a Naps bomb.
  18. Naps is kinda' due here and Price is struggling a bit
  19. Well I will take that too
  20. Get a FB Pedey and take him yard
  21. That was a big league pitch but all this drama has got to take its toll on John. I don't think they can give him more than a batter next inning unless the Sox unload on Price in their half coming up. Then with a long sit, you might be inclined to take Lackey out anyway.
  22. Problem is John has nowhere to go with this next pitch....needs a perfect pitch down in the zone.
  23. Lackey is trending the wrong way though. I would feel a lot better if we were trying to close out the 6th inning and not the 5th
  24. That one to Myers Lackey got away with. He has Myers so knotted up that he didn't do anything with it....Thank GOD
