Cora needs training wheels

Seriously, OB and Jerry would not come right out and say it. But it does look like Cash fully intended to start the game with RHer Kittridge looking to pull him for the LHer after only 2 innings. That hooked Cora into putting his most restrictive lineup offensively on the field and his worse fielding lineup defensively on the field. I am more and more thinking that is exactly how Cash planned it and Cora walked right into it.

This has been a farce from beginning to now.

I think the only problem sox fans might have with JD is that he is sorting pushing this "play me in the OF " thing and he does not belong out there. We will need his bat IMO and we will need it because he will come around. I don't think he can play in the cold any longer and I don't think he can play in the OF whether its warm or cold. Can only put him out there in inter-league play. Even that is on Cora and Dumbrowski. JD can want to be out there till hell freezes over. Its Cora's job to put the team on the field.

The way the booth crew just reported that inning, it sounds like they think Cash snookered Cora into inserting Moreland in this lineup which moves JD (at least for Cora) to the outfield and ties the Sox hands because Hanley is committed to DH. If true...that was a nice job by Cash.

Eddie does not know how to pitch. There is not a way to cover that up anymore. He just won't do it and honestly, I am tired of the reasons why or even trying to think of the reasons why. He won't do it. He got a back break in the injury and the way the injury was handled. But you have to be wiling to risk to pitch well and he isn't willing to.

JD may not be able to play in the cold at all.

JD is lost at present. I don't mind him trying to go to RF on occasion. But his bat is just late through the hitting zone. He would have to start his bat on Wednesday to have hit strike 3.

Beni deserves to be out. They should have called him out just for walking up to the plate with that garbage

Cora would likely have been safe to have switched Hanley to 1st and JD to DH as a starting lineup. The real mistake IMO was putting beni in CF and JD in any field in Fenway Park. Still can pull this out cause' it is the Rays. But this was a pretty bad game all around so far. Bad lineup. Poor positioning in the field. Bit lacking in focus and then there is EDDIE!!!!

Hanley is way more 1st baseman than JD is an OFer. They are going to have to invent a new position for JD. LeftOut-field

JD looked about as graceful as an old circus elephant on that fly ball. The thing must have found his glove.

I had claimed in other threads that I was worried about JD hurting himself in Fenway as it is physically the most dangerous OF in baseball. He looked like he was going to injury himself just throwing the ball back into the infield!
