  1. I hate to say it guys but I have seen two teams now in the last week that look better than we do.
  2. I guess I didn't ask nicely enough
  3. At least get me a run here Sox
  4. If we come out of this half inning behind I am going to lose my mind. You don't come back on the Rays if they have the lead in the 7th inning.
  5. For God sake. We don't put teams AWAY lately. Had bases loaded at that the middle of the order with a 4-2 lead AND nothing.
  6. The garage door can make you crazy. It is sort of like an arcade ballpark. All kinds of s*** all over the place including an optical illusion RF wall.
  7. The only good that comes out of the triangle is if it pinballs around in there.
  8. Hopefully they can blow this open right here and cruse to the win.
  9. They have to hang onto Devers.
  10. Good beginning for Erod. Getting the FB up where it needs to be for him to be successful with it.
  11. Boy have we got the DP down pat lately.
  12. Can't put it all on Vaz. its called a battery for a reason and I have not seen resistance to shaking Vaz of this year. the pitching coach is called the pitching coach for a reason as well. Where was he?
  13. Vaz is...but Nate should have the sense to shake him off and the GD pitching coach should have been out there after the first bottom feeder got a hit off that crap. Instead he never came out. Nate kept throwing squirrel s*** to the bottom of the order and bing bang bong, bases loaded, no outs and the top of the order coming up. Too late then. Nate's head was already spinning. He went back to the heat but it hardly mattered. Kept throwing the same pitch to the same spot to the top of the order and got killed. I actually don't think Bush ever came out that inning.
  14. Somebody needs to tell a whole bunch of somebodies on that pitching staff a whole bunch of somethings, Like; - Nate why are you throwing junk to the guys the the bottom of the Jays batting order? The guys at the top could not hit your FB/split finger combination. So what made you think the guys at the bottom could hit it? Suddenly you are throwing little curveballs and various and sundry other sucky pitches to the dregs at the bottom of the order. WHAT WAS THAT! It was the beginning of the end, that's what it was.
  15. 10 games left with the Rays. Likely will tell the story of the division.
  16. Was good to see X swing through the baseball as opposed to the baseball cutting trough his bat. Good to see some offense out of most of the batting order today. But a day does not a season make and we are into the part of the season where the cream comes to the top. Still a good shot to make the post season. However I won't be surprised if the Sox end up fighting for a wild card spot.
  17. Richards does not have a future in MLB without sticky goo. Perez has turned into a pumpkin. ERod is yet to come around and it has gotten so bad that he is back to nibbling for God sake. If Pevetta can throw like he did yesterday out the season that would be great but I don't think that will happen. Hauck is just a kid. So that leaves the weight of the world falling on a guy coming back from TJ. MOTHER OF GOD! I forgot Nate. Nate really needs to focus on what works for him in a game. That big selection of pitches he has really does not help him that often in game situations.
  18. You will NEVER get me to salute these 5 inning starters no matter which team the are on. 5 innings is not even twice through the order for God sake.
  19. Just to reminder people....though this is just my opinion I think it was widely held throughout baseball. Nobody projected this Sox team into 1st place. They wildly overachieved in the first half and like many of the Sox teams of my lifetime have swooned. However I still insist that when a team in this day and age overachieves as this team has, ownership and management have got to step to the plate and support them. Frankly MLB is getting to be like the NHL. You try to get into a position to make the post season and then at the trade deadline, the teams that are there consolidate the good players from around baseball just as they do in the NHL and THAT is the team that takes you to the promised land. The days of getting a few fill in players at the deadline are OVER. Henry and the management crew appear to have swung and missed.
  20. We are headed for worst half inning of the season and worst loss of the season in one trip across the border, with the ravenous Rays coming to town.
  21. Atta' Boy Marwin...don't do anything to surprise us.
  22. Why does Barnes think he can pitch to that location? Nobody can pitch to that location and his pitches are like a heat seeking missile to that location.
  23. Is Barnes trying to set a record for HR's given up by a closer in a single season?
  24. Youth baseball???? Youth baseball is the land of the participation trophy now. But its truly ridiculous that there is nowhere left where these guys are actually taught how to play the game and they don't appear to care, players couches, management, ownership....none of them care. Makes you wonder want "instruction" is provided in the Instructional League.
