Sox are just not getting full barrel to the ball or crushing it. This has all the makings of double digit runs for the Sox. Not sure the O's pen is much better than the starter.

Still wondering who is managing the Sox COVID discipline which appears non-existent. Not only are Sox players dropping like COVID flies. The Sox with COVID seem to be coming back almost as if they never left. Coincidence......I think not. Are the Sox players actually sticking to the COVID protocols. As much as we like Cora as a manager would we put it past him to not give a s***? Does it look like he gives a s***? Problem is, Cora might be losing more in total players as he might be gaining in players not sticking to the protocols if that is what they are doing.

Not only did Robert misjudge a ball that you have to catch in CF, he is just a bit too giraffe like and goofy to be playing in CF. Looks a bit like it would look if the Red Sox but JD in CF....parish the thought. Surprised Robert didn't crash into the wall and knock himself out trying to pick that up after it got past him. So yup...seems like 3rd would have been a possibility.

Seems to me he has had a rough time with playing time his entire career. Whitlock was a nice find but I am still not sure the Sox know where he should be on the pitching staff. We know where Renfroe should be....in RF....in the lineup.

One thing I should caution myself about with regard to Bloom's Renfroe deal to bring him to Boston being his best deal to date.....How often can a guy who has inside knowledge of a particular player's true potential from seeing him every day make such a deal? Not often would be my guess. Not often particularly within the devision.

Renfroe has got to be the best deal Bloom has made to date.

Our pen which started the year performing decent maybe better than the rest of the team at that point is an utter disaster now. Maybe they were never that good and just looked better than they were relative to the rest of the team. Given that Sale is still newly back from TJ I would still suggest that the rotation is Nate and pray for rain and sometimes Nate is iffy.

Its analysis comments like Burks just made that drive me nuts. There is 1 out and nobody on and Burks comment on Verdugo is "all he needed to do was put the ball in play". WHAT????? So that dribbler up the middle on that pitch is all we should have expected Ellis....is that what you are saying. Are you saying if that dribbler was gloved and Verdugo was thrown out that would have been fine by you?

The Rays are better at hitting pitchers pitches. They have done it all year and are doing it again tonight. The Sox...NOT SO MUCH. They tend to hit mistakes and miss most everything else. Deal with it. RAfi is the exception. Not sure there is another exception in a Sox uni. And I hate to say it but while you can be rather vulgar and prone to hyperbolic insult, you are usually eating your words by the end of the night.

ERod is out pitching Rasmussen to this point but the Rays are just better at hitting good pitches. Rasmussen is leaving too many pitches in the middle of the plate and the Sox are hitting them when they are there to be hit. Whenever I watch the Rays play the Sox or watch the Rays play anybody the overarching feeling is WHO ARE THESE GUYS!!!! Also while there are not many of us the listen to the broadcast guys from NESN, I am so tired of analysis from them meaning: - telling us how stupid the other team's manager is (wrong year for that) - how MEH their players are (wrong year for this too) - how lucky the other team is (this one really boils my ass) - what so and so Red Sox player's stats are for 3 days in the middle of August - what the score would be if so and so Sox player just 'caught one good" and hit it over the fence. I know what the score would be and I would rather know if the analyst thinks the hitter should hit behind the runner or bunt or what. The play by play should be the play by play of the game in process and the analysis should be of the game in progress.

Really don't want Franco hitting from the right side.
