This is the Texas Rangers we are playing right....winners of 15 road games this year, one of them the last game here and we are on track to lose another if we don't do something the bottom of this inning. Barnes can't close any longer. Not sure it really matters.

That was an incredible effort by Whitlock even with the weak hitting Rangers. Totally made necessary by our inability to put ANYBODY away, certainly since the ASB.

Vaz is 31...that is getting up there for a Catcher especially one Coro seems determined to work to death. He is starting to look a bit weighty as well if you know what I mean. Dalbac is 26! What the hell do they think they are doing with him....waiting for him to develop?

Heck this game is such a train wreck that I am switching back and forth with 24 hours of LeMans and its 12 hours in. So they are racing in the night at the moment which is like watching 8 hours of The Blair Witch movie.

Not only was the Schwarber deal trash, but these two stiffs they got for the pen have actually made the pen worse and if Travis Shaw was supposed to save Bloom's ass.....NOT!!!!!

If they go down like this in this game going into the storm I don't know what they are look like coming out on Tuesday to play again.

And I will say it again, all the Schwarber deal did was expose how weak this team is in the field because now to get both Schwarber and JD in the batting order at the same time they have to put JD in the field. They have no place for Kyle. JD is a butcher out there and their defense goes from pitiful to downright embarrassing.

Early Erod observations...that FB of his is still for s***. He is as usual throwing it too much as well....desperate to get ahead in the count. If you get ball 1 from Erod for a 1-0 count you are going to get that 93 right down Main St for the next pitch.

Geezus....Rangers have only won 14 games on the road all year and we have to keep it interesting. Simply do not put teams away often enough to matter. That should have been a big inning .....but NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Its not JD's fault they have to stick him in the OF. Does not change the fact that he no longer belongs out there. Are you feeling me Bloom....are you feeling me.

I don't think I have ever seen a SS have to go that far...almost to the warning track to recover a ball hit down the line. JD must have been in the triangle or just could not get there. At any rate we have to admit that JD is a butcher in the OF. Looks like a wounded giraffe running in the OF grass.

Where was our LFer on that ball off Rafi's glove? Why did X have to go all the way to the wall in the corner to pick that up. Now I see, We don't have a LFer tonight. That Schwarber deal looks better by the minute. We have nowhere to put him in the field and it forces JD into the outfield. Real nice Bloom. Clearly Schwarber was not the answer to any question. He is not a 1st baseman. He spent his first two weeks here up on the shelf which partially hid the fact that there is nowhere for him to play where the Sox have a need unless its keep butcher JD out of the OF. Then they bring in Shaw. What was that...some effort to cover over the Schwarber blunder. Rizzo sure would have looked good in a Red Sox uni. -

Don't know what to say anymore. The only silver lining is that we have a number of s*** teams on the schedule for the remainder of the year. But if you can't beat good teams who are you kidding anyway. The cream rises to the surface in the second half of the season and so far, our second half is an utter disaster. When we face good teams, we fold like a cheap suit. Still and all, my expectation before the first "play ball" was that they would go nowhere this year. So if the happens it will have been more fun watching them go nowhere than I thought it would be.
