One stupid bender to Stanton and the game is over...Stanton walking back to the bench....but NOOOOO. Kimbrel has to show him he could beat him upstairs with heat and guess what....HE COULDN'T. Just take your win and get the f--k off the field idiot!
Kimbrel non-save situation just screws around too much. Everybody and his brother knew Kimhrel should have just thrown any sort of breaking ball at all to Stanton and this game was over. But no...he has to throw high heat right over the plate to him and now look where he is.
Dumb careless and selfish and that is why he is not impressive in a non-save situation.
My apologies to the thread participants for my light posting today and the last few days. Whenever we play the MFY's and most particularly when we are crushing these pinstripe punks between our toes, I have little interest in anything but the game itself.
They must be virtually beside themselves at this point.
Tell ya' what. It is painfully obvious that this Yankee team cannot go long without Judge and Sanchez. Not that they cannot be pithed to or pitched around. But they are going nowhere in a hurry without those two guys. It would be like taking JD and X out our lineup at the same time for an extended period.
I have to say that I am both disappointed and overjoyed that they have filled in just as you would expect a bunch of pinstripe punks to fill in.
1. Mookie Betts ® RF
2. Andrew Benintendi (L) LF
3. Mitch Moreland (L) 1B
4. J.D. Martinez ® DH
5. Xander Bogaerts ® SS
6. Eduardo Nunez ® 3B
7. Brock Holt (L) 2B
8. Sandy Leon (S) C
9. Jackie Bradley Jr. (L) CF
X back in the lineup today, hopefully with a healthy hand/wrist as opposed to the one he struggled with last year
Without somebody bashing into Kinsler's knees. I never thought Kinsler slammed himself into the ground making plays as often as Pedey did either. We always knew that was going to come back to haunt Pedey some day.
I have to admit Boone is an idiot. I rate the division managers currently, Cash, Cora, Buck, Boone and Gibby. As long as Gibby remains in this division no manager will ever exceed Gibby for managerial futility. But Boone is close.
CC has always been irritating. 1 run HR's usually. Get somebody on base and somehow he ends up with these mystery pitches that look like we should be hitting them. Its because he has two or three speeds for every pitch and while the pitch looks hittable, you just can't time him.
