  1. So does anybody know what the state of COVID play was on the Sox before they were struck with the current surge? Last I knew, they were one of the few remaining teams that had not met the 85% vaccinated threshold from the league yet I saw very little to no masking going on just before they were struck with this COVID surge. Whereas earlier you could clearly see masking on the bench. Is that about how this is playing out?
  2. But Gov DickSantis in Florida still wants to penalize school boards that mandate masks all the while pointing at BIG Brother from DC for telling people what to do. Really Governor. Tell me folks, given the number of kids and people that DO wear masks where are the people being hospitalized or even seen by doctors for health complications due to mask wearing? I know where they are....NOWHERE because there aren't any and if there are, it is such a small number as to be statistically microscopic!
  3. Clearly Dalbec needs a bigger glove.
  4. Sounds like Eck has had it with Vaz. Can't really blame him. IMO Vaz has gone downhill behind the plate from earlier years.
  5. Sox have tried to avoid having Franco bat from the right side. Gonsalves does not even want to throw him a strike.
  6. Yanks have better starting pitching. Bullpen can be spectacular or for s***. Rays invented the Bullpen game. A shame they lost their ace. But if any team can overcome that....it's the Rays. All things being equal I think it boils down to Odor and Lemahieu. If they have a good series it would IMO be tough for the Rays to beat the Yanks. When those two are puke, its a different Yankee team.
  7. Point is, its not a sure thing either way. I would not call the Yanks a shoe in to beat this Rays team and I would not call the Rays a shoe in to beat the Yanks in a series either.
  8. Especially once they get confidence in themselves. They really don't care who they are playing and against the. "big" teams that can be a big part of the battle.
  9. Geezus that is only the second out of the inning.
  10. Don't be so sure about that. They grind teams to dust and the Yanks are just the kind of team that could be grist for their mill.
  11. Go ahead kid....finish us off. Put us out of our misery.
  12. look at them out there. If they could forfeit they would. They certainly don't want to be out there.
  13. Nice stop Vaz
  14. Working hard to gat to 100 E's for the season.
  15. You heard it here....Management gave up on the team at the trade deadline and the team has now given up on the season. They will be lucky to beat the A's to the 2nd wild card.
  16. I think Verdugo crossed himself up....looking at 3rd and throwing to second...ended up throwing it nowhere.
  17. I actually don't think the Yankmees can beat the Rays right now either. The Yanks are winning games but I just don't think they can compete with the Rays even with their late season acquisitions. Nobody beats the Rays if the Rays are ahead after 7 and 6 inning games don't play to the Yanks strength either.
  18. As I said the last Rays series, I do not believe we can beat this Rays team. They are just that much better than we are. If we get one great pitching performance in this series they will win this series 3-1 IMO. If we get lucky we might get a split. We will likely get to the Wild Card and could beat the Yankmees. After that, I just don't see us going anywhere if we even get that far.
  19. The Rays have won 8 of the last 10. The Yanks have won 10 of the last 10. We are 5-5. We are going nowhere IMO.
  20. Man, 74 pitches for Hauck already. Don't thinks balls out of the strike zone as much as Hauck is getting very little past the hitters. They are fouling off most of his best stuff.
  21. Gordon has got a really loopy swing. When he does connect, the ball goes. But I am willing to bet that if he keeps that swing the number of times he hits it......not so much.
  22. lol....thats pretty funny
  23. Boy did Santana ever choke that up. Did he leave a hairball on the mound?
  24. Stick your elbow out and take one for the team Travis.
  25. Santana crosses up his First Baseman. I thought he was going to pull a groin muscle trying to catch that thing.
