  1. Gee isn't that just too bad!!!!!
  2. Damn.....too bad...could have feasted on Sevarino longer.
  3. Best hit and run combination on the team turns the trick again.
  4. Its almost like Nate is rejecting Vaz's targets. I would too. But its not a good thing generally.
  5. Still missing his spots
  6. Evo is digging his own hole with Gardner though. He is missing his spots
  7. And where was Vaz holding the target for that base hit.....AGAIN????
  8. The battery needs to hold up. So far Evo's biggest problem is his battery mate.
  9. Now X...spoil his night for him
  10. Atta boy Mookie. Nice piece of hitting Beni. I love him going oppo
  11. That is where you call for the ball to the RH hitter Vaz...make him reach for it.
  12. If Vaz does not stop holding the glove thigh high on the outer black to these RH hitters I am going to get a charter to NY get onto the field and kick him right in the nuts.
  13. I will gladly take it. Just happy Vaz got the bat to that.
  14. RF Vaz...RF
  15. Efective Stadium 1st inning so far for Evo, all the way up to that Cutter Judge fouled to RF. If you are going to throw it out there to a Yankee RH hitter, throw it off the plate and get him to chase.
  16. Miller should never have been in the game as he is broken. I am not even sure one off-season will get him back on track he has absorbed so many injuries the last couple years. Not sure Bauer should have been in the game ahead of Miller for that matter. But he didn't pitch badly. He just threw the ball all over the yard. I simply do not understand why a whole generation of ML pitchers is simply unable to throw to bases from the mound...especially to 2nd base. You can't step into a throw off the mound to 2nd base. Remember the mound used to be higher. How did those guys do it? Well they did it by squaring their shoulders, bending their knees and slinging the ball to 2nd base. It is almost impossible to step and throw from the top of the mound to 2nd base. You will either be going uphill or downhill. Good luck with either one. This to me is simply another of those things that nobody teaches anymore because nobody cares to learn.
  17. Two total collapses late in two series finales. Guardians completely fell apart turning a tight game into a circus late and the Rockies also just fell completely apart at the end of their game with similar results.
  18. It would sure be nice to send Evo out to the mound in the 1st with at least a run under his belt.
  19. Pressure just crushing in these games. Tight 2-2 contest in Cleveland with all the big hits to the 7th coming on mistake pitches that were not missed even a little bit.....Bauer then makes two throwing errors in the 7th and opens the floodgates. Another pitcher trying to throw to 2nd off the top of the mound basically stabs himself right in the heart. Now 4-2, only 1 out. Astros on 2nd and 3rd and Miller into the game to try to stem the tide.
  20. Quick...io....get somebody to move this over to the GT forum or maybe just start one there and get somebody to delete this for you.
  21. Just about anybody but me as i will be chewing my nails down to the knuckles and sucking bourbon through a straw. Splinter has had a few good late season runs. MVP has....Slash has....even reliable "io" who has not taken a GT lately I think. They are all on the forum somewhere today.
  22. Severino pitches to the configuration of Yankee Stadium when he is pitching in Yankee Stadium. Something our pitchers tend not to do...certainly not our LH starters. Price doesn't. Erod certainly didn't his last time out there. Erod/Vaz in Yankee Stadium was IMO the worst battery performance I have seen in a long time. Sale of late is throwing a backdoor Slider to RH hitters more than he is throwing a back foot Slider to them. I am not real thrilled with that either. But Sale will be a Game 5 pitcher in Fenway. How will Evo do there? I am not sure how that Cutter he is depending on lately will play in that park against their RH hitters. If he gets that pitch up at all it likely won't be pretty. Even between thigh and knee, it could be a problem. He really needs to keep his Slider at the knees or below. Outside of a healthy Sale, Porcello has the best chance of succeeding in that park.
  23. In spite of their relative records, we have a better shot at Severino than we will have at CC IMO and I think we will catch Severino at some point in this game. He is more our kind of pitcher than CC. CC is now a location pitcher that changes speeds with everything. CC is quite capable of putting up 4 innings of goose eggs against us and turning the game over to their pen.
  24. Yankees/A's was the play-in game...entirely different situation from a short series.
  25. That would be great if the Yankees would just roll over and die at the sight of Porcello entering Game 3. Somehow I just do not think that will happen. So think about what we are saying with regard to Porcello in game 3. We are saying that we would treat Game 3 like it is game 4 of a 5 game series. It is neither game 4 nor game 5....Its ridiculous. If Cora can't find a way through game 3 WITH A LEAD without costing him his game 4 starter and the only other RH starter we have, then he should just find another line of work.
