  1. The Vaz shot to RF would have been out in some parks THAT SHALL REMAIN NAMELESS as well.
  2. Win it here boys. I don't want to see Hembree for the 10th even starting a clean inning.
  3. That bow in the Fenway RF wall robs Rafi. Gotta' hit it a long way to that part of Fenway to get it out.
  4. Gotta' get Oberg out of there if Black has any hope.
  5. Wanted nothing to do with Moreland late in this game with only one half inning of offense left for the Rockies.
  6. Not everything works. Give me a tie game, two guys on in the bottom of the 7th with one out and Red Sox top of the order coming up against the opponent pen and I will take that every day and twice on Sunday, especially at home with last bats.
  7. Well the end of the 7th certainly sucked. I guess we can say the whole 7th sucked.
  8. Well it is all a matter of odds. There is no perfect decision unless we engage in Monday Morning Quarterbacking. Cora did this a good deal last year to protect his pen as well. He did not give up the lead. He did come with the most reliable high leverage arm he had out there. How often have we seen this team win games with their bats against the opponent's pen late in games. I did not like seeing Cora stay with Erod for the 7th but I understand it. I have no issues with what he did past ERod as its exactly what he did last year under very similar circumstances.
  9. That was a heck of a 3-1 curve when Barnes was having difficulty throwing the pitch. Credit Vaz with pulling Barnes butt out of the fire calling for two straight curves and Bud Black for sending the runner.
  10. This points out the problem with the waste matter out in the pen. Can't bring Workman or Hembree as they are totally unreliable unless you hand them a clean inning. Forced to Barnes who is gassed.
  11. Damned if you do, damned if you don't situation for Cora there I think. But how can you really trust ERod to a total like 106 pitches. Cora probably hoped he could get ERod past the 7th and save his pen. Then decided he had gone that far. Lets see if we can get the LH hitter, Blackman. None of it worked to the point of bringing Barnes. Will Cora get away with his gamble?
  12. Anybody want to guess how far above the previous MLB season HR totals the 2019 season will be and whether MLB finally stops messing with the baseball?
  13. Anybody notice that three in the booth works as badly for us as it does for everybody else?

  15. Given the current state of play in MLB, 3-0.
  16. "He's hurt. I think the Sox signed him to an extension injured." Sure jocko...hoping Henry is that dumb are we?
  17. Well that was not the guy to make a nothing pitch to Chris. Geez he didn't even hit it really and gone.
  18. Rask keeping the Bruins in the game in the 1st period if anybody is interested, Bruins spending the entire period in the penalty box. Even a 5 on 3. 0-0 with 5 to go in the ist.
  19. Ah..ha.ha.ha...Ah...Ah....Ah...ha...ha...ha Remdog has it right. All it takes to be this bad in the field is lack of focus, concentration and effort. Good fielders are made, not born. Good hitters are born. Don't care how much "talent" you have....if you don't work at fielding you will suck balls to perpetuity.
  20. We might tend to think fielding does not matter especially in the era of the rocket ship baseball. If anybody has THAT thought again, I will simply point to the Pacific Northwest. It is actually not hard to be this bad in the field.
  21. I am not even going to try to make believe I was prescient on that. These guys are terrible....My High School Manager would be pulling guys off the field left and right at this point and asking if any other students brought a glove to school.
  22. What the f*** is wrong with this Seattle ball club. I expected their pitching to not hold up. Unrealistic to think the King's best years were still ahead of him for one thing and the rest of them are nothing to write home about. Pen is a joke. But geez its like they just do not care to field the baseball at all.
  23. They have most definitely overdone it this year. Does not bode for the Player's Uni weekend whenever we are subjected to that bit of barf up, hurl nonsense for this year.
  24. Remind me to pass if I see "Splinter at the the Boston Symphony" advertisements.
