    The Sox just don't want to be here today. I think they would have trouble with Sisters of the Poor, in their full nuns robes.

    I got here late but in the few innings I have seen him Crawford did not appear to have anything today. Just a question of how many runs Cora makes him eat.

    Wow...I can tell the Sox are really up for this game. Royals coaching staff appears to know how to get Hosmer out. To be expected.

    I just joined. Is Sal catching or is he the DH for the Royals today?

    Seems to be a lost or no longer wanted talent. See the Royals who mostly can't even catch a baseball nor throw it. I thought Melendez worst fielding issue was catching the ball until I saw him lollypop that throw from LF the other day and that was from short LF. MY GOODNESS!!!

    Well the way he has been playing he really does deserve a rest. Gotta' get him geared up for the rest of the season. I wonder what a geared up Plawecki looks like.

    I can't believe they are going to play in the afternoon sun tomorrow. I bet a lot of the players from tonight sit. Neither catcher will play. Perez can barely walk.

    The action on Whitlock pitches not what we are used to seeing either. I don't think the pitchers can grip the baseball in this heat. That was a good pitch to Taylor

    Balls are flying today and pitchers seem to be having trouble...maybe not able to grip the baseball in this heat. Other than Nate's split I have yet to see a pitch I am particularly impressed with. I am going to offer that this might be one of those games where last ups end up being the arbiter of who wins it.

    Both teams should be first pitch swinging as both pitchers are desperate to get ahead in the count.

    Bobby did could get this guy again. Surprised the score is only 4-4. Other than Nates split neither guys pitches are doing anything. Lynch must flinch when he throws that slider as it is doing absolutely nothing.

    Nate with a gritty effort tonight is putting some pitches in dangerous spots to LH hitters.

    NESN showing a replay of something that should have shown live....that was a great play by Davis.

    The way the Royals field I would have to say that ball found the 2nd baseman's glove.

    Geez, the Royals cannot field the baseball. Could have made a better effort on the ball JD hit to RF and that stone handed boot at SS was painful to watch.

    Attendance might be hard to monitor between the two because the Pats are playing 17 times a season and the Sox are playing 162. TV ratings head to head might be a better arbiter. I don't have that number but I suspect that during this century, head to head, the Pats are likely killing the Sox.
