  1. Totally agreed.... Even look at Osuna with the Jays since the All Star Break... He has had a couple bad melt downs and hasn't been great lately.
  2. THIS!!!! Price is known for playoff failure..... I'm not kidding I would be more comfortable with our rotation now in the playoffs. Not to mention Price fails in the playoffs after having an All Star like year. He has been average at absolute best this year and has missed a big portion of the season. No way would I feel comfortable with Price pitching against a team like the Astros or Guardians in the playoffs. That is a scary thought. If it happens it happens because he is still our number 3 guy but the man makes me nervous come playoffs. Last year he was an absolute joke after a superb year.
  3. This 100%. And against the great teams in playoffs that is what it takes and of course good pitching.
  4. Players lots of time hit a coldness streak. Happened to Beautista earlier as well and he has caught fire lately. Better to get it out of their system now and get it going come playoff time. Never been worried about Betts. Sometimes one good game to get their confidence back is all it takes.
  5. That is what I love about the MLB...... Even though we could have a couple strong guesses as to who might go to the World Series you just never know. Underdogs can go on a run in the playoffs and it happens quite often. It's not like the NBA where its clear that Golden State and Cleveland will be in the finals every single year. As much as I would put money on the Dodgers making the World Series I also wouldn't be surprised if Washington or the Cubs took them out in the playoffs.
  6. Agreed Cleveland isn't my first time I want to play in the playoffs that is for sure. I just don't think it will go down like last year. Cleveland has been very streaky this year as well. They can get on a roll but when they cool off they look extremely average. If our offense shows up in the playoffs I would be confident we could at least take a couple with Sale and Porcello pitching. I would like to say I am confident with Price but that is so far from the truth it's not even funny. I don't even know if he is able to return by playoffs if I would want him pitching.
  7. I feel more confident with our pitching though this year. Price was garbage last year against them. Not sure if this year will be any different. But we are definitely swinging the bats which is nice to see. And it's almost a 90% chance when Sale pitches we will win. Porcello also since the All star break is really getting his s*** together. I think Boston would give Cleveland a hell of a series.
  8. Absolutely they will just like last year. Boston is hitting which is nice to see and made good work of Cleveland in the 2 game series. I can't see us getting whooped by them quite like last year but they wouldn't be my first team to face that's for sure.
  9. Cardinals are red hot lately..... And only a game and a half out of first in their division. This will be a tough series. Hopefully Porcello brings his A game tonight that he has been bringing lately since the All Star break.
  10. Definitely didn't have his best game.... But we forget Cleveland is still a very good team. Taking 2 of 3 from them is a win in my books. Sweeping them is no easy task. Playing the red hot Cardinals now makes me a tad nervous but we usually show up against hot teams.
  11. Didn't get to see the game tonight. Glad we took the series against these guys finally!!!
  12. Sale will dominate today. I can feel It!!
  13. Beat the Cubs, Astros and Guardians but can't get it done against these guys. Frustrating beyond words.
  14. Make this count.
  15. I've been drinking. Just saw we lost........... I f***ing hate the Yankees. So f***ing much.
  16. Nice early lead!
  17. Half hour left of work, and then home for a beer and turn the game on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This day is DRAAAAAGGGGGGGIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGGG.
  18. Fair point! Nothing like starting with a win tonight
  19. For whatever reason we seem to play like dog s*** anytime we play this team. I don't get it. I think it's in their head right now. Crucial to win this series. Win a series against the Cubs, Astros and Guardians but can't get it done against the Yankees. Frustrating.
  20. A little nervous as our record against the Yanks is awful this year..... and the Yankees will be hungry after losing that series to the Jays. Hope E-Rod brings it tonight. Need this series win to really put the Yankees behind us.
  21. Off days suck :(
  22. Today was as perfect of a game as you get. Just beautiful.
  23. I figure as long as this offense can put at least 4 or 5 runs on the board Porcello is a ok by me. Guy has been pretty solid most of the year. However when he goes to s*** generally in the 6th or 7th he goes downhill fast.
  24. DId his part though. 6 strong innings. Up to the bullpen now.
