    I think it just depends how this season works out in my opinion. If Porcello keeps this dog s*** play up I don't blame anyone for not wanting him back even if it's for a million a season. As mentioned before, Porcello will give you innings and is a work horse. He is never injured, and always plays when called upon. He isn't our Ace but a nice 4th guy in the rotation. It's hard to pass up on something like that if we can get him at a decent price. Porcello is already worth millions and millions, has a World Series under his belt, and a CY Young season. Not really much left for him to do other than play for a team he really wants to play for (which it sounds like is Boston)

    How do you know??? Apparently Porcello has made it very clear he wants to stay in Boston and would make a very good negotiation to stay. Half the people are talking about Sale and Xander.... Porcello is neither of them and he knows it. I highly doubt he asks for something super unreasonable especially if he wants to stay in Boston that bad. Only way I see him asking for a massive contract is if he gets his s*** together and has another CY Young type season which I don't see happening.

    Meh can't blame him for pouncing on the opportunity to say "The Sox time is done" Every Yankees fan is probably creaming in their pants right now with big stupid grins on their face. Lucky for us we won't have to witness a Yankees World Series still. They will get destroyed in the first round and blame injuries (if they even make playoffs)

    Feel bad for him. He wants to play so bad and is having brutal luck with injuries. Sucks seeing this happen to players.

    Rotation is dead last in the league and now it looks like they might be getting it going and the offense is falling. Bottom 10 now. There is zero consistency with us with zero identity. Smoked by the Yankees backups and we are suppose to believe we can beat Tampa. For our sake we have to. But I just don’t see it. This season is going from bad to worse. With the exception of our starters outside of Sale are playing better.

    Swing half ass at the first god damn pitch and it goes nowhere! Jeeeeez. Shocker. Silly of me thinking we could beat the Yankees minor league team. Couldn’t even get the split.

    Houston also did and they have won ten straight. Sox on the other hand. Pitching might be starting to go good rotation wise but the offense has been useless

    wow..... tad harsh...… I can't remember his stats exactly last season and I know he definitely played more poor toward the end of the season but he started the season off red hot. He is inconsistent though I will give you that. But when he's on he is one of the best pitchers in the league and somehow his CY Young season he made sure he was on the entire season. I wouldn't say "He will never do it again" But I agree, I would be extremely surprised to see him have an identical season.
