    He's so young- opening day starter- hoping it's a lot of nerves... hoping he can make it out of the first without much damage and he settles down.

    Dude is a stud pitcher... but wanted to see better than 3 up- 3 down from the top of the lineup. Second time around they will look better! Go Sox.

    Back surgery 10 days ago... healing took a real turn for the positive... glad to relax mostly pain free and watch opening day games. Don't remember being less excited for a Sox team in a long time.... but still got a touch of opening day hope.

    Well the off season is over, tomorrow is the real season. I find myself maybe a little bit- oddly excited for baseball season; however, I also know we are putting out the same exact team as last year...(I know it's not but it feels the same). We don't have a real second baseman- we don't have any proven starting pitchers, our bull pen is going to get over worked..... No Duvall or Turner. I'm excited for the regular season... and at the same time wondering how long it will take to see the bottom fall out from under this years team. Two big surprises I'm betting (hoping) on this year..... Story has a good year with the bat and stays healthy, and Houck makes a big step forward putting together a nice year as a starter. We will find out soon.

    So you're saying there's a chance? I've actually spent a few weeks trying to pick another team to follow as I have really no hope this will be a fun or competitive team; however, I'm finding most teams are in dire need of 1-3 pitchers and also have not done much in the off season. I'm resolved now to tune in and give this team as shot. It's baseball, anything can happen. I'm predicting Story is a beast this season. Bello continues to trend up. Houck has an off season away from his injury and is the biggest positive surprise of the year. Story running his little off season training camp with infielders was a great thing. Despite ownership and coaching - it's baseball and the guys on the field can get hot and gel at the right times. Will they likely do that- no. But I'm going to at least enjoy the hell out of the first 30 games with my fingers crossed and find out. I'm going
