  1. That's cool. I fell in love with baseball late in life. Really wish I would have had the opportunity to pursue playing. But I am very blessed to have sons that are passionate and talented at playing baseball.
  2. So....I saw the. Patriots have a preseason game against Eagles when I am in Boston. Think I will go to that also.
  3. Oh I hear ya'. I always say God obviously has a sense of humor as He created me with an incredibly competitive nature and basically no actual talent in anything. What level of ball did you play?
  4. I guess what is so frustrating is that generally it feels like they accept victory or defeat by the second inning. Need more grit.
  5. Jung, you are right..... really feels the same since last September. But I need to try to enjoy the games, its my main hobby to escape real life..... so I just keep being thankful we are over .500 and in position to make a run at getting into the playoffs. All things end, this run of so so baseball will end one day.
  6. Nice defense fellas.
  7. 1. The game ain't over. 2. Should we loose, we can and probably win the series against blue birds, and we will still be on a great pace since the break. It is a frustrating game and stinks to loose... but it happens.
  8. I agree with this. Its amazing how the hitters play off a pitchers performance.
  9. He is really due for a hr
  10. Here we go, here we go.
  11. Feels to me like we are on the verge of lighting this pitcher up each inning, its bound to happen. Cmon Sox!
  12. Oooh that was ugly young Will, lol
  13. More good then bad son far.
  14. Settle down everyone, this game will probably last at least 9 innings, plenty of time to win this game. One scoreless inning does not mean we loose the game, one bad series does not flag the end of the season.
  15. Nice! Let's get a run or two this inning.
  16. Well looks like he may settle down and pitch.
  17. Beckett not putting any effort into it. I suspect this is more of his middle finger to those he does not like.
  18. I thought that was very interesting.
  19. I did not like hearing this...... but heard it had to do with needing a lefty in the pen. I am thinking we will see him start again before the year is up.
  20. I'm sure the splits last year had nothing to do with the fact Salty was catching a washed up knuckle baller, John Lackey, and Dice K / while Tek almost exclusively only caught Beckett who had a great year. Baseball wins almost never seem to be about one thing. You guys on here seem so much smarter then me about baseball, I'm really surprised you make the leap that over the last season and a half we were just a catcher away from not loosing any games. Because you are attributing every loss when Salty plays to Salty..... come on you guys know better then that. I'm not saying Salty is great, but he should not be used as a scape goat for every loss he plays in or an excuse for bad pitching. If every pitcher pitched horrible to him maybe a point could be drawn, but we have seen some starters and a bunch of relievers pitch damn well to him.
  21. What are the things Salty should be doing for his pitchers that he is not doing? Is he doing them for Dubront, Cook, and Morales? And is it any way fair to compare wins / losses against Shop when they haven't played nearly the same number of games. To me when the sample size is that different, the numbers can be pretty misleading.
