The Red Sox have announced that Bedard will start Thursday.

He'll be fine, they'll just suture it to his other disc and squirt some ketchup on the back of his uniform.

You're probably right, personally I'd rather see Bedard face the Yankees than Wakefield. Like it or not, Bedards our 3rd starter now.

No word yet. August 3rd would be 5 days rest for him but the Red Sox have Wakefield listed as the starter for now. The next most logical date would be August 5th against the Yankees.

Not sure why all of your anger is directed at me jackson, I never disagreed with your assessment on Buchholz and if you notice I've been saying "if" Buchholz comes back for a couple weeks now. Perhaps you should focus on the posters who disagreed with you. But if it makes you feel better, you were absolutely correct on his injury.

You don't trade half your farm for a player whose team won't let you do an MRI on his shoulder. Shoulder injuries are death for pitchers.

I doubt that he'll ever be an elite player, but at the rate that he's progressing making the major leagues is definitely not out of the question at this point.
