  1. I see Vladdy has been cured of his FFD - Fat f*** Disease
  2. No they're not. They are as loud as the usually are, making excuses
  3. Kike CF Arroyo 2B JD LF Xander SS Vaz DH Marwin 3B Renfroe RF Dalbec 1B Plawecki C Off night for Devers and Dugie against the tough lefty
  4. Going to be a long summer out in Denver. That team hovered around .500 for years in that ballpark, and that was with Arenado. Would not be surprised if Blackmon wants out at the deadline, causing them to launch a full rebuild
  5. Too bad Larry Rothschild isn't around anymore. He was always a fun guy to blame for everything...
  6. Just an indication of how far good pitching can take you. Look at the Giants. Of teams that have not had COVID pauses, the Giants are tied for last in runs. They have only scored 51 runs total, or 3.2 runs per game. Yet they are 10-6 and in 2nd place in a very good NL West. Why? Because they have only given up 46 runs, by far the fewest of any team besides the Mets, who have only played 11 games. Yankees and Braves will be an interesting series. Braves pitching hasn't lived up to the hype yet, but of course, neither have the Yankees bats. Will be interesting to see which side steps up. Braves may also be without Acuna for both games. Albies got hurt on Friday in Chicago, but I'm not sure when he's coming back. Both are DTD
  7. LHP Hyun-Jin Ryu (1-1, 1.89) vs LHP Eduardo Rodriguez (2-0, 3.60) Springer is expected back within the next week. This is only a 2 game series FYI In Eddie we trust!
  8. Correct. In the heat of the summer, the bats could be sizzling, but they're screwed if they play in a pitcher's park with the wind blowing in. They need to learn how to manufacture runs so they can still score when balls aren't leaving the yard
  9. I must give an acquaintance of mine credit for that one. I don't know if he created that nickname or not, but that's where I first heard it a few years back
  10. In Connor McJesus we trust!
  11. And then you add in the fact that the MLB is on high alert this year, especially for every single game involving the Astros, Red Sox, and AJ Hinch. If there is cheating, you can be assured that they will catch it pretty fast. The incentive to cheat this year is probably lower than its ever been.
  12. Amen to that
  13. That's understandable. A little uncalled for IMO given the situation
  14. That's the exact opposite of what I would expect from a collab of Benetti and Guillen. Ozzie always struck me as suspect. I know Benetti well from ESPN and he seems like a standup guy
  15. Is 7 runs enough insurance or nah?
  16. Position player pitching!!!
  17. Agreed. On both accounts
  18. Should be interesting to see who comes out of the AL West. Seattle won't play this well forever. A's are starting to look like the team we thought they would be after the slow start. Don't count the Astros out yet; they are a little banged up right now. Is this the year the Angels finally make the playoffs?
  19. Good break on the error, bad break on Marwin slipping. At least scoring in every inning is still intact!
  20. LOL You could be Dalbec
  21. Alright now I can go get lunch without worrying
  22. Indeed. Three straight woo-WOOs. Makes me swoon
  23. That's what Tony gets for sending Giolito back out there
  24. Great comeback inning Nate! 3 Ks
