    I must say that I have grown to love the nightly routine of turning on the radio, the MLB.com Gameday feature, and then opening up the gamethread to chat with you guys. Once I move to Boston and start working, I'm not sure how many free nights I will have, so I will definitely cherish these nights until then

    No complaints from me about this game last night. A's are a phenomenal pitching and defensive team. We can't expect to go off on them offensively every game this series. Tonight, though, is a must-win. This kid on the hill is making his first career start, while Manaea goes tomorrow. Coming into this series, I would have loved to take 2 out of 3. That would still be nice, but as long as we play clean games, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to me if we drop 2 out of 3

    Mark Derosa was saying earlier today how much he values Zunino for his ability to manage the game behind the plater, build up the confidence and abilities of those young Rays pitchers. To him, that's worth the perennial .200 average, 20 HRs and 200 Ks.

    When I went to the game a few weeks back, I was one seat away from having my view of home plate blocked by a pole. That's my one gripe. Easy solution though: don't sit in the wooden seats
