  1. Hit in the elbow by a fastball on Saturday, missed a game on Sunday, played tonight.
  2. Except his mother... Well.... Nevermind.
  3. Nice. Injuries make me blind.
  4. Carp!!! Nice job. Lets score in every inning tonight!
  5. Glad to see such a lively game thread. When the Sox are winning big, lots of other conversations start up. Great to see. If only BTR were here...
  6. Keep in mind that I went to the game the day before the bombings when Clay almost had the no-no. Hopefully he gets it this time. I also want to see Mike Trout and Pujols in person for the first time.
  7. Like the offense tonight, I'm just getting home. Dempster's looking good compared to some of his outings. This against the Rangers as well, a great offense.
  8. MLB.com has Lester on Thursday which means Doubront on Friday and Clay on Saturday.
  9. I only like them because there's an ESPN influence on all the local sporting events here in CT.
  10. It's Clay's turn in the order, so he should be pitching. My only concern is rain. Should rain early in the day, but clear off for game time at 7:15.
  11. I agree with SR. This is getting out of hand. I'm starting to post less and less in game threads. I understand that humans will have their own opinions and even disagree, but there is no reason to forget the whole reason why we're here to prove a point to somebody by beating the s*** out of them by flaming.
  12. Middlebrooks returns at the game I'll be at! Golden. Should be interesting to see what the lineup is that day.
  13. No more injuries!!!! Sox don't get Darvish in this series, so they should take 2 of 3.
  14. His defense has gone virtually unnoticed because of his poor performance at the plate. Pretty sad in my mind.
  15. This really gets me excited. The Bruins have been unstoppable since The Comeback, and perfect 4-0 at home including that game. They can easily pull off a sweep here.
  16. I'm glad the Sox traded him when they did.
  17. Line drive GS, big deal. At Fenway that would be an out, and the guy on third probably wouldn't even try.
  18. I go with the stats from this year because those are the easiest to predict from. He's struggled, that's all I'm saying. He walks, so that's why his OPS is so high. Have you seen his AVG recently?
  19. With the inability of Gomes to hit LHP, I'm not sure what he's good for right now.
  20. s*****. Yeah it would! How loud would the TD Garden be for games 3 and 4 if that happened?
  21. Okay, I've compiled a list of the most likely scenarios for when this happens. Farrell has a big decision coming. Victorino: 1. Nava becomes starting LF, Victorino goes to RF. Gomes is a backup, Carp is a utility reserve, JBJ goes back to Pawtucket unless Ells is still out. This is the only logical explanation in my mind because Nava can play either corner OF position. Since he's been so hot, Farrell can have them both in the lineup on a regular basis and then occasionally give one of them a day off to work Gomes and Carp into the lineup. Middlebrooks: Either way, I think Ciriaco will get sent down, but I think a reliever might go too. 1. WMB starts at third, Iggy and Drew share playing time at short, with Iggy playing third every week or so to give Middlebrooks a day off. Ciriaco is sent down. 2. Middlebrooks starts at third, Drew stays at short, Iggy is a backup for either, and Ciriaco goes down. 3. Iggy takes SS, WMB at 3rd, Drew is a backup for Iggy, and Iggy is a backup for Middlebrooks. Ciriaco still goes down, because there will be no room for him. Thoughts?
  22. He has a hard time getting no decisions. I think in 2011 he was 13-12 through his first 25 at one point. His current ERA is 2.97, just putting that out there now. He's faced some pretty good offenses, but when he doesn't (i.e. Rays and Phillies) he doesn't get the run support he needs, so he takes the loss. Example of this: Wednesday vs Phillies: He allowed 3 runs against a poor Phil's offense besides Dominic Brown over 6 innings, just what you're asking.
  23. Yeah. They wasted an hour for nothing. Yankees were probably trying to get Buch out as early as they could.
  24. I'm going to bed with this rain. I got a stupid sling on my elbow, so it will be a rough night.
  25. Pitched long enough for a win. Need him rested for next Saturday when I'm at the game.
