  1. They play a lot better on the road because they have a good offense. imo they don't have as good of a rotation as in recent years.
  2. I'm going to find out the attendance at the Astros game tonight. Looks to be about 400.
  3. Oh yes. I printed that out.
  4. Do the Rangers remind anyone else of us in 2011? They are falling apart in September, while the A's keep increasing their intimidation factor.
  5. That compound fracture of his leg on a trampoline was the turning point. All downhill since then.
  6. Andrew Cashner of the Padres has a perfecto through 6 vs the Pirates.
  7. Sox in 2010?
  8. Neither do 90% of the guys we talk about.
  9. Next week, there's an off day on both Monday and Thursday
  10. I guess no one noticed Burch Smith and Liriano yesterday.
  11. Braves-Nats game postponed due to deadly shootings at the Washington Navy Yard. 12 dead.
  12. The team I have with Rodgers and Lynch scored 146 last week and 116 so far this week. Rodgers and Lynch combined for 65 to pick up the off days by Reggie Wayne and Tony Gonzalez. I also had LeSean McCoy and Cruz. I have AJ Green playing tonight. My other team, led by Rodgers, Cobb, and Marshall has 111 so far, compared to 97 last week (still won). I have the Steelers D going tonight, in place of the Seahawks, who got me 21 on the bench. The one bad move this week.
  13. I have the Steelers D starting, but I already have a win locked up.
  14. A few notes: • The Yankees have lost seven of their last 11 games. If they miss the playoffs, the Red Sox will have played a big role in that. The Sox were 13-6 against the the Yankees this season, outscoring their rivals 120-85. That's the most wins in a season for the Sox against the Yankees since the 1973 team was 14-4. It's the most wins for any team since the 1976 Orioles went 13-5. “Boston has done an absolute number on us. They’ve basically whipped our [butts],” Rodriguez said. • David Ortiz took Mariano Rivera out for lunch this afternoon. "That's my man right there. A special person. I'm glad we had that ceremony," he said. When the game was over, Rivera walked from the bullpen back to the dugout alone. Some fans behind the dugout waited to applaud him and other fans who were making their way out of Fenway turned around and joined in. It was a very organic moment and Rivera paused several times to wave to the fans before he disappeared from view. He probably will never step foot in Fenway again and clearly wanted to take one more look around. • Mike Napoli had an interesting night. He hit a mammoth home run in the first inning that gave the Red Sox a 3-1 lead. He has 22 homers this season, seven against the Yankees. That's the most for a Red Sox player since Jimmie Foxx had eight in 1936. Napoli also has 89 RBIs. Napoli also did strike out twice and now has the team record of 178 in a season. Rest easy, Mark Bellhorn. That's a ton of strikeouts. But the .357 on-base percentage and power certainly outweigh it. Napoli also has played surprisingly well at first base. • The Sox are 11-3 in September and have averaged 7.1 runs. • The Sox are 32 of their last 32 on stolen bases and have 116 on the season. • The Sox are now 50-25 at home and have won 10 of 12 at Fenway.
  15. If there was a game today, I'm sure the song of the day would be Wake Me Up When September Ends by Green Day
  16. Good point. We have to watch out for them. They are only eliminated from AL East title contention. LET'S GO ASTROS AND GIANTS!
  17. Yes it is! Marshawn Lynch helped me out too. Both my teams will soon be 2-0.
  18. Last week, it was 13-4 to get to 100. Seemed hard.
  19. My 2-0 at the game mojo will be tested during the ALDS.

The Sox are 8.5 games up on the second-place Tampa Bay Rays. ... The Yankees are three games out in the wild card race. ... 21. This has already been their worst season in years.
  22. Can UConn get any worse? To think that I'm going to the Michigan game next week...
  23. RSFFL, I would like to see the Babe's number.
  24. I'm not sure who I want to win. I can't stand Bama, but I hate Johnny Football.
  25. I'm looking on aceticket.com right now for ALDS game 2 tickets. The RF line is only $250 a pop.
