  1. Moneyball is on, but it's a tie with 42. Funny that they are both baseball movies.
  2. Missed the last inning or so while watching my one of my favorite movies. Clay has given up 3 runs? Ugly.
  3. I would take 39 if it meant giving him that HR.
  4. There's a chance that we get Don and Eck in the playoffs, so it's all good.
  5. Putting up with MASN again?
  6. This is great. Ending the season hot.
  7. How about a foot?
  8. Impressive AB by Drew there.
  9. Sox don't mess around.
  10. Yeah Napolitano!
  11. Papi is getting hot at the right time.
  12. Game time: 7:05 p.m. TV/Radio: NESN / WEEI. Red Sox vs. Feldman: Napoli 11-27, Pedroia 6-15, Ortiz 2-10, Carp 4-11, Drew 3-8, Ellsbury 3-8, Victorino 0-5, McDonald 1-2, Middlebrooks 1-3, Nava 0-3, Gomes 0-1. Orioles vs. Buchholz: Markakis 5-34, Jones 5-24, Wieters 6-27, Roberts 8-22, Davis 3-15, Hardy 6-16, Flaherty 2-8, McLouth 2-6, Casilla 3-5, Johnson 0-3, Pearce 0-3, Valencia 0-2, Stat of the Day: David Ortiz has 430 career home runs. He needs one to tie Cal Ripken Jr. for 45th place all time. Ortiz also is one home run shy of joining Ted Williams as the only players in Red Sox history with seven seasons of at least 30 home runs and 100 RBIs. Notes: The Red Sox start their final series of the regular season with a two-game lead on Oakland for the best record in the American League and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. The Athletics start a three-game series at Seattle tonight. The A's, oddly enough, are 6-10 against the Mariners this season. Felix Hernandez pitches for Seattle tonight against Bartolo Colon. ... Buchholz is making his fourth start since coming off the disabled list. He has allowed two earned runs over 17 innings. Buchholz faced the Orioles on April 8 and threw seven shutout innings. He is 8-3, 3.26 in 15 career appearances against Baltimore. ... Feldman is 1-1, 4.09 in 10 career appearances against the Red Sox, four of them starts. He faced Boston on Sept 17 and lasted only five innings, giving up two runs on two hits and six walks. ... Saltalamacchia has a nine-game hit streak and is 14 for 33 in the streak with seven extra-base hits and 10 RBIs. He is hitting .311 in September. Salty hit .180 last September and .162 in September 2012. ... Pedroia is 1 for his last 14. ... The Sox haven't won 97 games since 2007. ... The Sox are 7-9 against the Orioles, 36-21 against the rest of the AL East. ... The Sox are 43-35 on the road with wins in eight of their last 11 games. Song of the Day: "Travelin' Band" by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
  13. Correct. Only reason I had it going to 7 is because I wanted to see a close series. I don't stop watching football in October for nothing!
  14. Okay Clay. I'm sorry that you lost your last start. I wasn't watching you for the first time all year. Now that I will, bring us one step closer to HFA.
  15. Even if the Sox lose to Detroit, that wouldn't happen until the ALCS. If we lock up HFA, we won't play them in the ALDS. I also think the A's can beat them to. Their pitching isn't as good as it has been in recent years, but overall it is still among the league's best. I'm thinking of a Sox-A's ALCS, going down to 7 games. Sox win of course.
  16. If he pitches. Joe might save him since he's already had his night.
  17. I heard that Girardi is thinking of the whole game. Yankees are out of it so it doesn't really matter. Mo might have asked to do that himself.
  18. I'm benching Cruz in favor of Darren McFadden at my FLEX spot. Should I go McFadden, Anquan Boldin (playing tonight!!!), or not bench Cruz at all?
  19. Oberholtzer is pitching tomorrow against the Skanks. Gives the Astros a shot at least 1 game.
  20. I would think that anyone would want the team that eliminated their team from the playoffs to make a quick exit. In this case, that would be the Rays.
  21. We have one. It's called game threads.
  22. Please don't alert the media... I have some annoying girl stalking me already.
  23. I have a big day at school tomorrow. I'm signing off for the night, but I'll be listening for another hour or so.
