  1. I'm okay with that
  2. Hernandez CF Verdugo DH Bogaerts SS Devers 3B Santana CF Renfroe RF Vazquez C Gonzalez LF Dalbec 1B
  3. I'm expecting nothing worse than a split of this week's series. We can hang with them. Our pen has been solid lately
  4. RHP Sandy Alcantara (2-4, 3.46) vs LHP Eduardo Rodriguez (5-3, 5.06) Remember when I said that? Only two games left. Another day, another pretty good Marlins starter. Alcantara has not been getting good run support. Eddie has. Let's continue that trend. One more day of cold rain in Boston. Muck it up, eke out a win, and then enjoy the flight to Houston tonight.
  5. Great win! We didn't deserve a shutout, so I'm almost glad the Marlins got on the board
  6. 12 men left on base. If Rojas, Chisholm, and Duvall were all healthy right now, things would likely be different
  7. They sure make it hard to love them so much, yet we all find a way
  8. Any other lineup would have picked us apart today
  9. Ottavino pitching makes me age prematurely
  10. Better to be lucky than good. Optimal to be both
  11. I called it at the start of the year. I knew that 2019 was going to be a career year for him. And then he got COVID. He had a life changing heart condition after getting COVID. You have to think that's always in the back of his mind when he's pitching.
  12. At least he still has shutout stuff. E-Rod is inefficient AND allowing hard contact
  13. Interesting to see who Venable uses out of the pen. Cora probably told him what to do if we were winning and if we were losing, but not in a two run game where you're starter can't go 6
  14. I'm not convinced after the Kluber and Voit injuries. We'll see how long they are out. It's only a small sample size in the time since they've gone down, but they look really lost and depleted without both of them. And I'm not scared of Cole, given how well we've hit good pitching. Plus, if the Tigers can beat him, anybody can stand a chance, especially if the Yankees continue to struggle scoring runs. I watched all of the Rays game today and I think we could beat them in a playoff series, but they definitely look for real.
  15. Rafi >>>> Jose Devers
  16. We need them to start playing better this week when they host the Rays. After that, if they could go back to not scoring runs when we come to town, that would be great
  17. Unlike most of our backup catchers in recent memory, Plawecki is NOT an afterthought at the plate
  18. It's a badge of honor!
  19. Bobby D stays above the Jessica Mendoza line!
  20. Pitch count doesn't matter if you knock him around
  21. Wow, looks like a record crowd today!
  22. Good contact off Rogers in the 1st. That's a good sign. Maybe we can get to him the second time through
  23. LHP Trevor Rogers (6-2, 1.75) vs RHP Nate Eovaldi (5-2, 4.39) This Rogers kid is the real deal, and a budding ace. We need good Nate today. https://weather.com/weather/hourbyhour/l/bf217d537cc1c8074ec195ce07fb74de3c1593caa6033b7c3be4645ccc5b01de Looks like we'll be dry for a 4:10 start. Wind blowing straight in from center, though.
