  1. Jonny will start us off on a good note. Sox roll. Again.
  2. Kershaw is being overused. He's going again tonight. This will come back and haunt him eventually. Meanwhile, Wacha has looked pretty good, so I wouldn't be surprised to see another Cardinals win tonight.
  3. Tragic tragic tragic. AP doesn't have to play Sunday, not sure he realizes that.
  4. Cardinals rotation is all out of Wach (reference to their SP Wacha), so the Dodgers have a shot at a 2-0 lead before they even play in LA.
  5. I think that if our offense cools off like it did a little bit in games 3 and 4 with Tampa, then the Tigers have a shot. We should be fine for the first two games. We won't get Verlander until at least game 3, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Scherzer on Sunday, having only pitched out of the pen on Tuesday. Heck, he might even start game 1. I like our team at home though. It'll be tough to beat us when we have a good offense putting up runs, and our aces shutting opponents down. Assuming Oakland doesn't pull a monster comeback here, this should be a really good series. I want to see it go down to 7, purely as a baseball fan.
  6. Meaning he's still as dominant, which is the most important thing.
  7. But yet he still hasn't allowed a hit.
  8. It has potential. If Vogt hadn't ended game 2 in the ninth, they could have remained scoreless for a long time. Sonny Gray looks like another great A's pitcher.
  9. Not really.
  10. They barely cover college volleyball. They used to, when they first started. Your point?
  11. Now that the Pirates are gone, any NL team that goes to the WS will earn the league big money. A Sox-Dodgers WS will be a gold mine for the league.
  12. I still think that Jeter would be a great player-manager. He's perfect for it. He's the most respected guy in the clubhouse now that Mo's gone. He knows so much about the game. If Girardi had left, I wouldn't have been surprised to see the Yankees discuss that option with Jeter
  13. Woah In no way did I mean to advertise my birthday. I was stating a fact in my life that will be going for the next three school days. It just feels weird saying Wednesday when it's really the day of your birthday. Just a misunderstanding. I don't think it's all about me. I never have. I'm aware that some people are going through tough times right now. But that's what makes sports so great. We can all come together as one to cheer on a team that we all love, and temporarily forget any problems going on in the world, including the fact that the government is shutdown and if those shitheads in Congress don't get their act together by Thursday, then we go into a deficit. Anyway, my point is that I'm more inclined to share the positives about my life and look at things optimistically. We all have some kind of problem in our life right now. I see this forum as a way to escape that, even if it's just for 5-10 minutes. I'm beginning to realize that this is why I have been obsessed with sports ever since I can remember. It's a safe haven. No matter what happens, sports will always be there for you.
  14. You have the good life. I have test after test coming up tomorrow, Friday, and my birthday.
  15. Yeah. If the Cubs had a bright future, I'm sure Girardi would want to be there.
  16. Damn, that's awful news.
  17. Okay. Wrong on the Sox opponent, but right on the number of games. Wrong about the Braves-Dodgers, even though I saw that coming. I'm hoping the Pirates win tonight, and I can still get the outcome of OAK-DET right even though I have the number of games wrong.
  18. Wearing my lucky Red Sox Nation shirt today to school. Great win for the Sos. This team is special.
  19. Sorry. Really excited. Getting a laptop.
  20. Now's a good time to go to bed. It's 10:16. My birthdate, but in time form.
  21. When we tonight, I'm wearing my lucky (and favorite) Red Sox Nation shirt to school tomorrow. http://www.footlocker.com/product/model:170221/sku:25875505/nike-mlb-local-t-shirt-mens/boston-red-sox/red/navy/
  22. Good. Colon sucked in game 1. I really want to see the A's advance.
