  1. I was all over this today on the Red Sox Twitter and Snapchat. I must say that it sprung up on me pretty quick this year
  2. I get that, and if the Steelers were to retaliate, it would be in one of those games, not when it was. Forget about the past. Because they decided to attack Burfict in this particular game, a game where Burfict hadn't done anything wrong and had been playing with a lot of passion, the Steelers are the ones that look like massive douches, not Burfict.
  3. While we're talking about JuJu, I will say that the hit on Burfict a few weeks ago was absolutely unnecessary and over the top. I don't care what a guy's past is. The Steelers were providing him all night and he didn't bite, and responded by playing a hell of a (clean) game. No need to blind side him like that. That play is the biggest thing I have against JuJu this season. Shame on him.
  4. Welcome kindly, good sir.
  5. Agreed. Even I had them pegged somewhere around 2-14. All they need is experience. They've been in every game but two. Could easily be an 8-9 win team if they had held onto a couple 4th quarter leads.
  6. Two years from now, Robby Anderson will be a superstar in this league. I love that guy too. There. Is that better?
  7. At least someone sees it like I do.
  8. Mitchy 2-Bags is back, eh? Did DD call up Farrell before making this deal?
  9. I am a huge AB fan. Hands down the best player in the entire league not named Tom Brady, and in my mind, competing with Jerry Rice for best WR ever. I'm also in love with JuJu but that's a different matter.
  10. Just FWIW, I'm not worried about Stanton facing us 19 times a year. For starters, and I'm sure this has been debated somewhere during my annual offseason siesta, but Stanton doesn't fit Fenway. He would be the league leader in wall ball singles, just based how hard he hits the ball, and how most of his HR are line drives. I'm not worried about it at all. If we can improve our offense a little, perhaps we can outscore the Yanks from time to time. We can't do much worse H2H than we did last year.
  11. This is a VERY desirable job. Not only is it New York, but the young base this team has means that you could be as idiotic as Farrell and still be a WS contender every year for the next 5-10 years.
  12. I don't think we should get either one of them
  13. I like this move. Curious to see how it ends up.
  14. Even if they rebuild their rotation, they can still contend with the core of talent they have
  15. I'm not concerned yet. While the Yankees are now 6-0 at home, there are no more home game in this series. Yes, they only have 1 road win in the playoffs, but it was Game 5 in Cleveland. On the contrary, Houston is 4-0 at home in October. I like those odds. Joe Buck will be out of breath by Saturday night
  16. Very similar to the Paul George injury a couple years ago
  17. Watching the game with a couple of Yankees fans (one from Mass), I did call the Judge HR, so I am proud of that
  18. Go Astros! #BirthdayMojo
  19. Great post! Love having you around too, my man
  20. Anybody remember Matt Garza when he was on the Rays? I felt bad for the ground, even if it was that stupid AstroTurf.
  21. You ain't the only ones
  22. So far Tanaka has looked good, avoiding those dreaded Porcellos
  23. I agree. Either Cubs/Yankees or Dodgers/Yankees would be tremendous for the sport, but in 2014, Sports Illustrated predicted the Astros beating the Cubs in the 2017 World Series.
  24. Wow, very nice story. I had only heard his name; I knew absolutely nothing about him. Sad to read about his troubles, but good to see he his making the most out of life. Makes me think what our team would look like if he had kept playing with that same promise, potential, and talent. No JBJ? Would we have ever drafted Benintendi?
  25. IMO it beats bringing your closer out of the pen every night in the 5th inning, or just flat out overusing them like Tito and Maddon did last year
