  1. i liked the pick when they got him and i've followed him ever since but he has struggled.i'd love to see him develop into something.
  2. i want them to work out too.i'm just hoping for some extra pitching
  3. i don't hate dave i just don't think his free agent signings are good.his trades are great but thats all he seems to well.
  4. its not opinion i like some of them too. i don't like the price deal.to long and to much money and i feel the same about martinez.
  5. i wouldn't call it a strategy, its just what dave does.he buys the most expensive players for the position and ignores other needs.then he leaves scorched earth behind him.have you seen detroit lately?
  6. looks like we'll see J.D. today for the first time. Red Sox J.D. Martinez to make Grapefruit debut WWW.MLB.COM PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- There will be a buzz in the air at JetBlue Park this afternoon, as J.D. Martinez will start in left field for the Red Sox in his Grapefruit League debut against the Twins. The slugger will play his first game nine days after formalizing a five-year, $110
  7. here's a good article on devers if anyone missed it. Red Sox Rafael Devers enjoying strong spring WWW.MLB.COM PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- With an 0-2 count in his first at-bat on Tuesday, Rafael Devers wouldn't have been wrong to expect a waste pitch aimed at trying to get him to chase. But Devers, at just 21 years old, is training himself to be ready for anything -- provided it i've been waiting for him since they signed him in 2013(15 y/o).he was never part of the hype machine most prospects are to up there trade value.he was always a 100% keeper.
  8. castillo is doing pretty good.makes me wonder if he might become worth something in a trade? i know its a long shot but wouldn't it be great if we could get a starting pitcher for him or a decent prospect.getting out from under with him would be enough
  9. bogearts, bennintendi, and devers are hitting great. this years difference makers? i think so....good to see them off to a great start
  10. we were talking about the need for pitching.i thought your comment was about that.my mistake
  11. last october our starters lasted 13 innings in 4 games.whats baseless about that?
  12. this makes me think of it differently because of the bullpen issues he has had in his past.i was going to say we could use a starter turned reliever out of the pen that we could use for stop starts when neccessary but.... and like you say he does know these guys better than us so maybe he does have something up his sleeve in AAA.or elsewhere for that matter. i wouldnt mind signing a guy and trading someone from the rotation for stability but who?
  13. Stanton isn't playing in the N.L. basement anymore....he won't win anymore mvp's here.i think he's the one in for a surprise this year. judge has holes and there gigantic. with a new manager and his new crew i dont fear your homerun hitters.except when playing them at yankee little league park.lol but yes its nice to have rivalry back.its going to make for some great baseball
  14. Pom's elbow doesnt worry me so much.he's a workhorse and has shown that he can work through it.Price's elbow injury isn't going away and all you have to do is look at Pom to see that.it's just a matter of when and how bad this time and will it end his season.we can win a lot by out scoring and out hitting but last year our rotation was a mess by august and only got worse.i couldnt even watch come october. Sale was overused to the point i thought he was going to injured too. this is our weakness and we did nothing about it? yet anyway...hopefully something changes here.
