A guy on my floor convinced his dad to buy tickets to Game 5 as soon as they found out the Yankees were moving on. I tried to tell him that the series won't get that far, but hey, prove me wrong.
This really doesn't bother me... The rivalry isn't really there for me because the Sox and Yanks have gone their separate ways since '04, which I don't even remember. I don't hate the Yankees with the same burning passion as the rest of the Red Sox fans here.
I can't imagine what this feels like for my aunt, uncle, and cousins in Ohio, assuming the Yankees win. To come so close last year, then dominate the AL after the historic win streak, and then get ousted in the first round. Typical Cleveland luck.
