  1. Since I also don't remember the 2004 postseason run, I also enjoyed it for that reason. And, after finally going to ST this year for the first time, I can confirm that nobody acts that crazy, at least not anymore
  2. Dodgers hitting 8 HR, and none of them coming from Pollock is a double killjoy
  3. I didn't either, but the thing I had going for me was that the first time I saw it, I was a 9 year old on a bus going to Fenway. Nothing could ruin that mood
  4. I'll set my calendar now since I'll have much of the same stuff going on at this time next year.
  5. I feel horrible for missing the boat this year, Ted. The last month for me has been filled with balancing two jobs, school, and a plethora of job interviews. Time just went by so fast and I forgot all about the league.
  6. I watched most of the game. With that lineup, Sanchez batting 6th, how is anybody going to beat them consistently? And to think they don't even have Didi and Hicks yet. Wow. Chapman didn't look like himself today, though.
  7. Gives me an excuse not to watch March Madness
  8. The 17-2 start to last year will be hard to beat so expect all the "We're not nearly as good as last year..." starting up around the time of the 3rd loss
  9. It's March 28 and we haven't even won a game yet FFS. I think it's time to abandon ship and start planning for 2020.
  10. Alright I'm back y'all! Wearing a Sox hat and windbreaker to and from class today, on top of a Betts t-shirt! I'm just glad to see baseball back, although I agree that it's a little early. Also nice to see the rest of the UConn community repping their teams as well. Definitely more Sox than Yankees so far, but I've also seen a great deal of Phillies fans. Enjoyed my trip to Fenway South just one week ago today, so I really felt like baseball came back last week, but that doesn't count. Win. Dance. Repeat. x3 (including Games 4 and 5 of the WS)
  11. There's also a younger brother who is a budding tennis star. What a family! Nelly Korda is also my celebrity crush, so I am grateful you brought them up
  12. There's also Kiki and Coco Vandeweghe. Kiki is the current EVP of the NBA and his niece Coco is a noted tennis player
  13. Just an irrelevant side note here: I saw him play this past season as a member of the New Britain Bees of the Independent League
  14. I'll be watching both ND-NW and Bama-LSU very closely, rooting for 2 upsets to take place. The 3 college teams I hate the most are Bama, Ohio State and Notre Dame in that order
  15. Yeah, because Fenway's capacity is much smaller
  16. World Series games wouldn't be blacked out since they are on national television. A couple people I know that don't have TVs in their dorm rooms were using these streaming sites. That seems like the more realistic explanation for illegal access. As for radio, I enjoy it to, and don't listen to games nearly as much as I would like, but it seems like a dying art.
  17. Another year of staring at a thumb? Damn
  18. Let me know when y'all finalize. My dates are already finalized, since I only have 1 week where I'm available to go down.
  19. It's my fault. I didn't watch either of the first 2 games.
  20. That's gotta be the least amount of dots you've ever had in one post
  21. Big game with those Warriors looming
  22. I wasn't too far off. I nailed the Price prediction in ALCS Game 5, which was really going out on a limb since he hadn't really had a solid start in the playoffs at that point.
  23. Alrighty then! I'll be around for the week of St. Patrick's Day, I believe. The main focus of the trip, however, will be playing golf, and escaping from the harsh winter
  24. I can really only go off of 2013, and this team is so much better than that one in every way
  25. So, either way, Kershaw will likely make a lot of money only to suck in a couple years. That's the life right there.
