all of this is so true. i think offensively we'll have a big night, it's really going to come down to bedard. it sucks that we had to use aceves as much last night. and as well as the rays have been doing, now that they caught us, they're going to feel some pressure as well. it's not smooth sailing for them.

if we have a playof at the Trop, you bet your ass i'm bringing the good mojo to the game. if we lose, someone is going to have to bail me out of jail!!!

thank you SOX for making my day miserable! i came into work today with all the rays fans clapping and thanking me.... i might punch somebody. the level of pissed-off-ness cannot be put into words.

i love this!!! i live in tampa. my roommate and i were watching the sox game a few weeks ago on my back porch havinga few beers. during a commercial i asked him if he wanted me to switch over to the rays game to see the score.( he was born in tampa, he's a rays fan.) he said no. he said they're 10 games back and there's no reason to watch. i tried explaining to him that they ( at the time) still had like 10 games against the SOX and Yanks. they could make a comeback. having no faith, he said that's not gonna happen. who cares. NOW, i get s*** everyday about how the Sox suck, the rays are the better team, they are going to be in the playoffs. Leave it to a rays fan to come out of nowhere! it PISSES me off. even if your team blows, stick by them. it hurts sometimes to watch this team implode, but you gotta watch. if every fan was a casual fan, what's the point in the regular season? i hate fans who only watch the playoffs and call themselves die-hard fans! NO!! you're a band-wagon casual fan. they do the same s*** whenever the Lightning make the playoffs. all of a sudden everyone watches hockey. if anyone has ever been to the St. Pete Times Forum ( where the lightning play) you know they can't GIVe those tickets away!

Win and we're in.... WE control our destiny..... we shouldn't be relying on the rays to lose.... just go out there and get it done. when we get on a hot streak we're easily the best team in baseball!

i personally think the yanks will lay down to the rays... they really don't have a reason to play hard and i don't think they want us in the post season... watch them have a tie game in the ninth, get the bases loaded and walk the winning run in. just to piss us off.

it's not bad at all to get to the games if you really want to be there. i live in riverview, it's a place where most people live outside of tampa. the subburbs. it takes me about 45 minutes to get there. that is not bad from what i've heard to get to other stadiums. everyone here is lazy and expects stadiums to be in their backyards! Palodios is right, there is a lot of s*** going on here. but the demograph is the biggest aspect. tampa is a true melting pot of people. there really aren't too many people born and raised in the tampa area. we get a lot of transient people whomove in for jobs, or are seasonally down here, or whatever the case is. so they really don't care about the team until the excitement gets intot the air about playoffs. i invite everybody to come to the Trop one day and interview people on their team. see if they can name the starting rotation or position players. most can't. they're a fun team to watch sometimes, i've seen all these kids grow up and play since they were rookies, but the stadium is a dump. my only arguement f=FOR the stadium being a dome is the weather. if you have lived here for an extended period of time during baseball season, you know it rains in tampa EVERYDAY between 4-7. can't have an open field. it just can't happen. anyway, i'm getting off track, f*** the rays and i hope the yankees don't lay down to them like they did last thurday!

Yea, but we get a s*** ton of rain this time of year! we can hope that rays pitchers all get into accidents and have lower back pain!! i bet that stadium still won't be close to selling out. you guys should really see the fans down here, it's pathedic!!

ending the season with beckett, bedard and lester. win and we're in mentality. pitching needs to be the flint that spearks this team into the post season! momentum is what we need right now. go out and get back to back wins! i'll be doing my utmost to send bad joo-joo to the rays here in tampa!

Baltimore is really becoming a pain in my ass. lets get a win tonight, HOPEFULLY carry that momentum into tomorrows game, and get back on track. we can play dominant baseball, i've seen us do it! there needs to be a team meeting somewhere and these boys need to get to business. forget about what has ahappened this month and go out there and play ball. clean slate. treat it as a 6 game season, because at this point, that's what it is!

did anyone else think something was a little fishy last night in the yanks/rays game? i don't know, but it seemed like they were either "throwing" the game, or they didn't give a s*** at all. those errors last night were pretty awful. almost blatant. i think the yankees fear us if they do have to play us in the post season..... spanking their asses in the beginning of the season might be on the back of their minds. anyone else feel like that last night?

so i lost my sunglasses at the bar last night...... (no i wasn't wearing them at night)..... i live in tampa, me and the whole family came out to watch teh gameat our local watering hole. we're a little loud and the whole bar knows we're sox fans, we're in our gear ready to go.... game is going well until the broken bat. i just knew that was a sign of things to come. every time we play the f***in rays s*** falls their way. then the longo blast. f***in rays fans ( who haven't been cheering all season) went apeshit! i lost it! i just left. walked out on the tab and left. my boy is was our waiter and he understood because he called me later, but i can't stand living in tampa and witnessing this happen to us! especially with fake ass tampa bay fans! that being said, tonight is a new night. i hope everyone on the team is as halfway frustrasted as i am, so they come out with a vengance!! i want to MURDER the rays tonight!! the type of karate kid "no mercy" type of murder!! i NEED this! we all NEED this!!!

i personally like the line up. shields just scares me. that guy can be lights out! especially against us! we need to get to him early and often! can't have this guy throwing his 9th CG of the year, or whatever his stats are!
