    Ridiculous, huh? In the 2nd, Lester caught the outside of the plate at least twice out of the three on Andruw. Then later misses and the ump calls it. what? It's too bad for Lester. He gave a quality start. irony at its best. I've always wondered if one day umpires will be removed from the game partially or completely for technology, computer strike zones or something. Discussion and arguments with the ump and the varied strike zones are, essentially part of the game.

    Look who he is matched against though. Good pitchers have, as of recently, shut the Red Sox down pretty well. Royals and Guardians pitching kept the Red Sox offense in check. I think we can destroy 2 out of 3 pitchers we'll face Vs. the Yanks this weekend but CC has got the momentum right now. BUT, we'll see! Anything can happen in Baseball and even more so with the Red Sox this year. Sweep 'em again

    Yup... very annoying series. Very surprised Red Sox didn't pull off 3 out of 4. The offense was average at best.

    Yup -- 'cept I hear Boras doesn't do long-term deals. Less years but still 20mill a pop. I sure hope the Sox cough up the money for him, too. Why is Beckett not pitching vs. CC? Or why not Lester vs CC? It seems to make the most sense to not put Lackey vs. CC later this week. Unless our offense can have a surprisingly good day vs. CC

    Ellsbury goes 1-5 with the Walk-Off HR. Pretty awesome but also his third day in a row going 1-5 and 2nd with the walk off. Interesting. Hard to say he's slightly slumping when he has 2 walk-offs in a row.

    Carrasco's 4.67 ERA makes me think the Red Sox can shell him for a good 7+ runs. We might need more than that with Wake pitching but we could also only need 3-4.

    If only there was an explanation for that. I hope Crawford finds his groove today, I know he will soon.

    I don't see how he could return. Won't he need to re-work his delivery in order to avoid this happening again? He'll be so out of it. 1% chance of return, I guess.
