Livin 45 min south of Toronto and its cold as f*** here. Gonna be 5 degrees celsius which is about 41 F. The dome will be closed which means lots of balls flying through the air. If we can score 12 on the Tigers I think we should score a ton tonight. Let's just keep it out of the bullpen's hands.

Cole Hamels is gonna be a free agent in December. I am all for staying cheap on pitching this season and throwing the kitchen sink at him in the off season. That guy would be amazing for us

Not sure if someone has done this yet but I thought I'd give my series wrap up. Positives: Lester, AGon, Papi, Pedroia all starting off great. Sweeney had a nice series at the plate. Padilla looked good today and so did Morales. Offense wakes up for the finale. Negatives: #2 and #3 starting pitcher had to bow their heads and call the Tigers their Daddies (Pedro voice) We have no closer, or if we do he's gonna make a start in 2 days. Defense was brutal with the exception of Pedey. Youk looks old or hurt not sure which. Aviles brutal defensively the whole series and offensively for 2/3 games. Cody Ross in all facets of the game.

I just went and read the game 162 thread from last year. It's the Red Sox fan version of cutting yourself to distract you from your real problems. Being 0-3 in 4 days is still waaaaaay better than 7-20 in a month

I think thats the way Bobby wanted it all along, but Cherington put pressure on him to make Bard a starter to keep Bard happy. Let's move Bard to the pen and let him throw 100 mph 9 times and be done with it. We can obviously score enough to make up for a 4-5 of Doubie and Cook

Beckett Questionable to Start the Season

I like Beckett's attitude. He doesnt give a f*** what the media thinks or says about him. He's as competitive as they come and you can tell he is extremely upset with himself when he does poorly. Fox showed him in the dugout right after he got pulled today sitting by himself in the dugout looking pissed staring straight ahead. Couple innings later, they show him again in the exact same spot doing the exact same thing. You can tell today and all his bad days really eat him up. I would rather have a competitive guy who lives and dies with his performance but comes off as a dick than a guy who people like but spouts that "cant win em all" or "just gotta do better next time" s***. I like Beckett and believe he will turn it around and have another great year -
Need this one in a bad way, dont wanna go to Canada needing a sweep to just be .500 let's get this done. It's Max f***ing Scherzer for Christ's sake
