  1. Check out Ebay. See what other similiar items are going for. Make it a Buy It Now option at your own price, do not auction it off.
  2. Both teams will be in the ALCS, like most years. Never been to Yankee Stadium or Fenway to a game, but I wouldn't want my first one to be during the ALCS. Atmoshphere would be too overwhelming and electric. I know people always complain about the way these two teams spend on payroll but when your fans are loyal and sell out every game, you can afford to spend money on big time free agents. This is why these two teams meet in the playoffs so frequently.
  3. Go on Ebay and look for used jerseys. Or just get a classic player's jersey so you don't have to worry about always updating and just spend the $100-$150 one time. -Ted Williams -Wade Boggs -Nomar -Mo Vaughn
  4. Throwing at a player is a punk move. Strike him out! Throw some heat!
  5. Don't know, but as far as getting a frame or something for your kid's first game, check out http://www.ThatsMyTicket.com.
  6. Quit focusing on the finances! You've got a team in first place. EpStein knows what he is doing!
  7. I would say the Reds def benefitted the most from this trade. Wily Mo was just a project who never developed the way people thought he would. Remember when Cory Patterson was supposed to be the next big thing?
  8. Go old school. Ted Williams, Mo Vaughn, Nomar, Manny, Wade Boggs.
  9. Even though Giambi is playing with the Rockies, I think he could be a great DH if he were to come back to the AL. Thome is still playing...Frank Thomas played for a while...other players like Adam Dunn have struggled making the adjustment to not playing everyday. I love the DH, it is the primary divider among the NL and AL. As far as Ortiz getting a long term deal, who knows? How many times have the Sox extended offers to players when you didn't think they should have?
  10. My favorite memory was my late step-father who was from Westminster, MA tried to take me to my first baseball game in 1995. You couldn't get Red Sox tickets, period. I remember standing outside of the stadium hoping we could score some tickets, no luck. A month later, he took me to Cincinnati to see my first game. Been a Reds fan ever since. : ) While I do appreciate Red Sox history and Red Sox nation, who knows, I could have turned out a Red Sox fan.
  11. InterLeague is great, bro! You get to see teams that you have never seen before. I get to see the Yankees on Wednesday in Cincinnati for the first time! While you could certainly care less about the Yankees, I dont think the Phillies have enough offensive firepower or run support for their pitching. It is pretty scary to think of Cole Hamels and Blanton coming out of the bullpen in the playoffs...
  12. The two hottest teams in baseball are clearly the Sox and Phillies. How do these two teams matchup in the World Series? While the Phillies have superior pitching, I just don't see them pitching their way through the playoffs. You've got to have a combination of pitching and a high powered offense just like the Red Sox, Yankees and Reds. Should be interesting. I don't even see the Yankees taking the AL Wildcard.
  13. He will be in the 1-5 spot at some point this season. Just not yet. It's an all star team, who cares where he is batting? The Red Sox are hot right now. Don''t try and fix it.
  14. Remember all of the hype Dice-K had about five years ago? Wowzers. Even though he is still a starting pitcher, he hasn't effected the game the way we thought he would.
  15. Looks like everyone is on the same page here. Teams such as the A's, Mariners, Royals and Royals are pretty foreign to me since prime time games and Reds games are the only games that will come on tv. Oh yeah, and those darn Cubs on WGN.
  16. Alright, the Cubs are coming to town tonight. The atmosphere will be electric and I have no idea as to how it has been so long since the Cubs have been to Boston. MLB should put more effort into schedule rotations. I love inter-league play because it gives fans a chance to see players and teams that they do not get to see on a regular basis. I have seen every NL team come thru Cincinnati but have only seen the Angels and Guardians from the AL. How do you feel about inter-league play and would you incorporate more series or less series? Also, as a Red Sox fan, which NL team are you most looking forward to seeing in Fenway?
  17. Has anyone sat in the famous Green Monster Seats up top? I hear the ticket prices are outrageous and never less than $150. I guess the major appeal would be the table you get to eat on. I have also read that the seats are a rip-off and that the bleachers offer pretty much the same view.
  18. Miami Heat...still going strong in the playoffs...Red Sox..still going strong and will probablly sweep the Yankees tonight. A pretty good analogy I think.
  19. Can he? Meaning...does he have the abilitiy to? Absolutely. Will he? I don't know. Miguel Cabrera can really swing the bat. Granderson is hitting really well for the Yankees too.
  20. Fire Francona? And hire who? A Top three manager in Major League Baseball. With all of that money to spend on guys like A Gonz and Crawford, I think its the players you should be upset with. Not to mention its still only May. You won't know anything about this team until Mid-July.
  21. Driving drunk is not safe. You could hit a bump in the road and spill your drink.
  22. Red Sox fans cannot say Julio Lugo. His defense was the reason he was able to make millions of dollars batting .190.
  23. lol, the Phillies lineup doesn't scare you? Ok, ok. What about their pitching rotation? Could you imagine having to face Cole Hamels coming out of the bullpen in the playoffs?
  24. What places and sights would you Red Sox fanatics recommend to a fan visiting Fenway Park for the first time and who wants the ultimate Fenway experience? What are the best bars for before and after the game? I would love to sit on the Green Monster, but the prices for those seats are awfully steep. I hear the bleachers pretty much give you the same view. Oh and should I leave my Yankees hat at home? Just kidding.
  25. How many SuperStar name short stops in Major League Baseball do you know of? I can think of two; Hanley and Jeter. Baseball is full of traveling Hispanic shortstops like Edgar Renteria, Julio Lugo, Felipe Lopez, Orlando Cabrera, Alexei Ramirez, Yuniesky Betancourt. Do you want any of them on your team? Lowrie and Scutaro are solid. You can't be perfect at every single position.
