  1. hehehe i didn't know that!
  2. well, he's improving but the numbers don't lie!
  3. even in those streaks, someone will hurt this team.
  4. Well, i wouldn't put it that way, the idea is to point those players who are under their performance expectancy, and debate about it with perspective and criteria. I hate TF, but if you look at the standings, the team is 2 games behind NY, at this point, the team is leading the wild card column, 2/5 of his starters have been on the DL (now, 1 recently activated and the other with an eminent surgery, both with terrible numbers so far), several players like CC started just pathetic, so... i would weight the hurting in somebody else before TF, wouldn't you? anyway... what would be the percentage in success/failure of a manager in a MLB team? 20%?
  5. Well, there are a lot of perspectives and stats in order to start a case, so.. i will start looking at Runs batting (Rbat, Number of runs better or worse than average the player was as a hitter.) 2011 Rbat Carl Crawford -10 Salty -4 Cameron -3 When i found out those numbers i was a little bit surprised, mostly about CC. He's been hurting a lot this team when he's AB in order to rate Rs expectancies. On the other hand, he's a 8 Rbat career player so far, but the funny thing is that before signing with Boston he was 17 trough 9 years in that department. This poor stat shows how horrendous was his start with Boston, he has 39 SO just behind Youk and Ells who are 46 and 42 respectively so far; the main difference and that counteract Youk's and Ells' Rbat numbers, are the BB (.33 Linear Weight), that are 31 and 18 respectively, Crawford? 8; another way to rest that 1-2 spot case. CC has not room in the 1-2 spot in this lineup, he doesn't have that required discipline AB in order to take any of those spots. The good, his numbers are improving and hopefully in the end, he surly will be around 17 Rbat again.
  6. oks.. . Aceves or Wake?...
  7. Those LWs are Rs expectancies for those situations, but in the end based on a model, to predict those Rs, right?, so... in order to rest your case, here the facts: In 162 games, CC has 99 Rs, 102 SB and 38 BB and Peddy has 108 Rs, 59 SB, 67 BB In 162 games, CC(Rs)-P(Rs)=9 Rs, Coincidence?... This guy is right!, another way to probe that CC has no room in the 1-2 spot. EDIT: 2011: CC(Rbat) -9, P(Rbat) -2. CC(Rbaser) 0, P(Rbaser) 2... nothing else to say!
  8. Thanks, i just thought that you got them with an arithmetic operation with the information of their SB,BB, Rs, etc. I'll check it out. Do you recommend a particular site? thanks.
  9. i'll tell u when the issue seemed to be fixed, but still refreshing a lot in order to access the site! thanks in advance for your support.
  10. hehehehehe :harhar:, oks win however u want to... just win!
  11. We'd better start loading the bases than just look for those HRs.
  12. We are not getting the runs in and we are not making routine plays in defense, and now this HR.
  13. Hi ORS, in order to understand your case, where/how you got those linear weights (.30,.33.,-.27). Thanks.
  14. i don't know if i could awake in a few hours cause i'm still working... but just in case, hope the balance (pitching/batting) is calibrated for this one! Lets start a new streak here. Win!
  15. http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/8373/screenshot20110601at107.png I was wrong too, there is no room for Crawford in the 1-3 spots of this lineup, certainly not in the near/mid/distant future if this lineup continues. Numbers don't lie. MJ, you just can close this thread, and start a new one called "why the hell the Boston Red Sox paid those tons of money for a 6-8 spot" . Don't get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of CC (In fact I was very excited when the RS made the announcement that he was coming), he will produce in this team and I’m glad that he is part of this lineup. But If you see the thing, plain and simple, just as a business, I would say that we got a 6-8 luxury spot for this lineup, so...IMO they could hire a 6-8 spot for a considerable less amount of money with similar numbers; but i insist, as a fan i'm very excited that he's with the Boston Red Sox.
  16. Even today's L, i still bet on Aceves taking that spot than D-K. Just a bad night, it happens. Let's go Ace!
  17. Seems to be just like jacksonianmarch's issue. BTW jacksonianmarch, how did you fix it? A lot of this too....I have to refresh the page again and again. http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/2545/screenshot20110531at946.png
  18. Hi board, hope somebody read this one and can help me. I've been experimenting a lot "the server is too busy" messages or just goes to a blank page. This issue started yesterday when a i tried to access to any thread or page of the site (sometimes i get lucky like now, but it still so slow), is this normal for now?, is it just me? or are you making some changes in the servers?. Since i've been here never happened, i used to navigate just fine, so... is there something i can do? (i can navigate just fine in other sites with no problems at all.) I will really appreciate if somebody could email me a solution, if there is one. Thanks in advance for your support. http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/298/screenshot20110531at920.png
  19. No google at all, yeszir, right? is it understandable or not?, cause i'm not pretty sure what you meant posting "Pretty sure that came out of Google translate".
