  1. Seems like nobody gives a damn about starting the GT lately, huh! Win, Johnny is on the mound.
  2. As I said, I don't like it either but it is how life unfortunately works .
  3. +1
  4. Well, I got your point and the human side of it is moving and I share the same convictions; nevertheless, this is not just an amateur baseball, this is an enterprise that goes beyoooooond baseball; they are professionals and are paid very well (overpaid IMO) to do the job, just like any who has a job and has to deliver results, so... you just cant leave the money behind since it has a lot of consequences in the organization like clogging the payroll in order to bring somebody else who could be better; a lot around here including me, have a lot of problems as well (or even worse) just like John Lackey, but guess what? we have to go out there every day, work 10-12 hours every day and return/perform with quality results for what we are paid for. Unfortunately life is that cold, you keep your personal things at home and keep going. I'm not sure how the jobs are managed in the States , but here, you have to perform as you supposed to, otherwise you get fired as simple as that (I don't like it either, but my employers give a damn what is going on with my personal life, in the end they want results.) . IMO If he has those issues, he should be honest and tell the GM that his head is in another place and ask for a break in order to fix his personal problems, clear his mind but stop charging-- he is already a Millionaire anyway-- and give room to the team in order to make a move or something to improve and give 'em better chances to win, otherwise, everyone loses. No hard feelings but life is like that, unfortunately. ALMOST everything is money these days.

  15. A looooot around here gonna say you that he still have potential, but I won't. His fastball and command is a joke, even our friend Darnell McD can bomb him. The sad part of the story is that he is making a loooot of money and they won't give up and relegate him to the pen just like that, they gonna give him a shot, but guess what? In the attept to turn his s*** back, we gonna fail every single day when he goes to the mound costing us games and pen. If you ask me... They should accept that made a mistake and eat his salary or send him to the pen or trade him even they lose money in the process, and bring another solid SP, otherwise we will see the same film over and over again the next 3 yrs.
  16. That panic button is in effect.
  17. IMO, Youk won't be the Youk we all know since his sport hernia & hip issues, at least this season.
  18. HR but still good call by TIto this time.
