  1. Thanks SFoC... Few hours before the draft. See you there guys.
  2. Doubront has the most IPs (16) thus far this ST and a 2.7 ERA. Maybe he and why not Cook/Padilla could take the 4th and 5th spots. I'm not sure about Bard in the rotation anymore. As I said, at least be strong in 1 department: @ BP, sending Bard and why not Aceves too to BP. Our offense and this kind of BP (with Aceves, Bard, Melancon, Bailey, Miller, Albers, Morales) could help Doubront, Cook, Padilla if they s*** the bed early in the game.
  3. 7 MUSD? Wow! Why I'm not surprised... This guy is unbelievable. Release him.
  4. Bailey hasn't impressed me that much either, so... Let Bard and Bailey compete for the closer position for a couple of months. The winner should be the closer.
  5. @ a700... Campadre, what is the name of your team?
  6. I didn't make the right question. For ex. Whose is J21 team?
  7. Can't wait. Which team belongs to each talksox participant? Good luck to everyone. SFoC, during next week I transfer my cover. Again, Thanks for the opportunity.
  8. Well, To me this is getting clearer... Aceves might be the "solution" at this point at 4th spot. Reinforce the BP. Send Bard to BP where he belongs. Shuffle the 5th spot with the others, and find out who could be the 5th guy; there's no more gentlemen, we decided not to bring another SP. Crossing fingers and hopefully FO's decisions work out.
  9. I'm aboard!
  10. According with forbes they are the #9 most valuable soccer team in the world... http://www.forbes.com/sites/sportsmoney/2011/04/20/the-worlds-most-valuable-soccer-teams/
  11. If this is true Jung, he will not come to Boston, as simple as that... unless Boston pays him more than Detroit's offer which I really doubt it at this point.
  12. I'm not sure how much is Liverpool's value these days but this team should be a good business. Liverpool is probably one of the top 10 soccer clubs around the world and their fan base is awesome. They have a very impressive record of achievements. They have won everything.
  13. I said once, If he really doesn't want to come, I do not want him here. Plus, If he is not healthy or will not be healthy at some point I do not want him here either. On the other hand these guys are professionals. They move where the money is. I'm not totally sold with those rumors that say that he doesn't want to come. Besides... Even if he plays in a easier division and put decent numbers, I do not see him getting a long/mid term or 1Y/big contract in 2013 reason why he wants to earn the most he can get now... Also, Seems like the only suitable team these days for him is Boston, of course this is only my opinion.
  14. Somewhere I read that he is not 100% yet. I'm not sure how long it is going to take, assuming that he could be 100% healthy at some point.
  15. mmm... The name of the game is money. The guy wants 10 M according with reports. I only have heard that Ben have put 5 M on the table and probably 2-3 more in incentives. If Ben puts 8 plus incentives he will likely have a deal done IMO.
  16. Well, I meant Scu's bat (.299/358/781 through 445 PA), but I got your scenario. Hopefully Aviles/Punto/Iglesias cover Scu's production.
  17. I like that perspective, but the big question has been/is, will our top 3 stay healthy?...in other words, will they post together 570IP/ and below 4.0 ERA?.. when was the last time that this happened? and will Bard post at least 140+ IP/4.0 ERA? If the answer is yes, I'm with you SFF BTW... What about the SS production? How do you going to replace a .300 Bat?
  18. That's exactly what I was thinking. If true, their (Red Sox FO) concern is about the reamaining money. If true, you have 2 paths. 1. Stay under the LT (unlikely since LL already said that they are already over it unless it is another smoke screen) 2. Do not go over the 2012 budget (whatever it means/is). Interesting.
  19. Well, then there's still a slightly possibility. We'll see.
  20. Thanks guys... So he is not longer an option I suppose.
