  1. If this is true Jung, he will not come to Boston, as simple as that... unless Boston pays him more than Detroit's offer which I really doubt it at this point.
  2. I'm not sure how much is Liverpool's value these days but this team should be a good business. Liverpool is probably one of the top 10 soccer clubs around the world and their fan base is awesome. They have a very impressive record of achievements. They have won everything.
  3. I said once, If he really doesn't want to come, I do not want him here. Plus, If he is not healthy or will not be healthy at some point I do not want him here either. On the other hand these guys are professionals. They move where the money is. I'm not totally sold with those rumors that say that he doesn't want to come. Besides... Even if he plays in a easier division and put decent numbers, I do not see him getting a long/mid term or 1Y/big contract in 2013 reason why he wants to earn the most he can get now... Also, Seems like the only suitable team these days for him is Boston, of course this is only my opinion.
  4. Somewhere I read that he is not 100% yet. I'm not sure how long it is going to take, assuming that he could be 100% healthy at some point.
  5. mmm... The name of the game is money. The guy wants 10 M according with reports. I only have heard that Ben have put 5 M on the table and probably 2-3 more in incentives. If Ben puts 8 plus incentives he will likely have a deal done IMO.
  6. Well, I meant Scu's bat (.299/358/781 through 445 PA), but I got your scenario. Hopefully Aviles/Punto/Iglesias cover Scu's production.
  7. I like that perspective, but the big question has been/is, will our top 3 stay healthy?...in other words, will they post together 570IP/ and below 4.0 ERA?.. when was the last time that this happened? and will Bard post at least 140+ IP/4.0 ERA? If the answer is yes, I'm with you SFF BTW... What about the SS production? How do you going to replace a .300 Bat?
  8. That's exactly what I was thinking. If true, their (Red Sox FO) concern is about the reamaining money. If true, you have 2 paths. 1. Stay under the LT (unlikely since LL already said that they are already over it unless it is another smoke screen) 2. Do not go over the 2012 budget (whatever it means/is). Interesting.
  9. Well, then there's still a slightly possibility. We'll see.
  10. Thanks guys... So he is not longer an option I suppose.
  11. That's exactly the beauty of A700's posts. He doesn't even need to look at stats in order to be right.
  12. Bravo Pal, Bravo. In Spud's words, Excellent f***ing post. A700, I and among others have been saying this over and over again, but some call us pessimists.
  13. ....or nobody was available. We'll see how it ends, though.
  14. ... And if one of our 1-3 go to DL for a long period time and/or Bard/Aceves and/or dumpster diving signings s*** the bed, the justification will be "we weren't lucky, again" or " s*** happens" or "what else could we do?"...
  15. BC has been saying that he feels comfortable with his pitching staff. BV has said that pitching is not his priority. On the other hand he has said that our team has more question marks than NY and TB. I just do not get it.
  16. Thanks Fred. BTW Pumpsie... I like Dos X
  17. Fred, say whatever you want and the number of times you want. Some will like your style, some will not. You are a very nice guy to me and a very knowlageble poster. Some of us like your style, some not... Fred, The most important thing is... have fun.
  18. I like Yoenis, compa. A couple of friends have followed him and have said me that he has Crawford's potential... We'll see. MLB is another thing though. It is a lot more tougher.
  19. No more to say. You and MVP are right. I just do not get it...why in the hell did they release Scutaro?... (of course assuming that another SP won't land)
