  1. Bring him... Now!
  2. Ortiz is a beast!...
  3. Sorry, Jon. Seems like he could make 7 at least.
  4. How many pitches by John thus far?
  5. Papi will win another extension contract, say... 15?
  6. Hahahahaha gone! Mr adequate. Yes!
  7. Papi seems very happy, very happy. Seems like he is enjoying a lot the game these days despite our results.
  8. Beltre is not playing, but you never know with Rangers' offense....
  9. Really ump? That was a f***ing strike.... Jeez!
  10. A DP would be great!
  11. Well, 1-0 is a nice start, C'mon Johnny, do your thing.
  12. Well, I tied with the best this time, so... I guess it is not that bad considering the calibre of A700's team. Whata pitching staff got Boys of Summer.
  13. Mentally and far from Boston environment, could help. On the other hand, if we lose the series against Minnesota and Chicago, I wonder, which teams are we going to beat then... The O's?:dunno:
  14. Terrible?, ok terrible then... Aceves is a great reliever, the thing is that he is not a closer. No in the majors. I've been saying over and over that only few can close and shut down the business. Handle the pressure in the 9th is something else, mostly when is a close game. You need nerves of steel. Here we call it "balls". Balls gave Pap that contract. Agree they need go on the road for a while.
  15. Papelbon's gone. Bard is in the rotation. Somehow some of us think that we can run like last year, losing in April and Winning through May-Aug. I don't see that happening unless the FO make a move (whatever that means). BP is as important as the rotation. Some underrate them. You just can't win games without a decent one. Our is very close to be a mediocre one. Aceves is not a closer. Morales is not a setup guy. Tazawa is a mystery. After them, what you got?.
  16. The worst about this, is not the L, or the 15 Runs, or the 3-consecutive L or the 35+ Rs we ate in the last 3 games . The worst thing about this is that our pitching staff could tax this pressure to the offense and that could bring us even more problems. Yeah, they are professionals but you still feel. I'm not sure if mentally they are ready to face Today's game.
  17. As always, very clear and accurate in your ideas my friend. Great post. I was having this BBQ with my father and mother as well while watching the game. When the 7th inning ended, all turned from happy faces to long faces. It was really heartbreaking. In your place, against your worst enemy and celebrating your 100 years, losing like this simply has no name. We ate 18 Rs a couple of days ago, yesterday 6, today 15.... what the hell is going on in our team? Probably the sold out streak is in risk. John Henry needs to open the wallet or Ben needs to make a majestic trade, but something needs to happen, and soon.
  18. This is an unbalanced team. In order to turn around, you need the pieces. We do not have a true closer. We do not have a strong BP. Bard as a starter is a mystery. Repko and McD are not the answer. Salty can't hit and his defense is poor. Youk is lost in the plate. Can CC bounce back?, IDK. I'm worried about Buch. IDK when Ells is going to comeback and must important, how, etc. When you look these signs , the panorama is not encouraging. Do not be surprised if we end up in the 4th place, hope no. We'll see.
  19. This is not about heart or effort IMO. This is about lack/ability to perform in some of them, specially in our pitching.
  20. BtW I like the idea to move back Bard to BP. I only want to see how they going to address the 5th spot in the rotation. Should they consider Oswalt? If healthy, of course!
