  2. When you see the owner himself flying to meet him at his house in Atlanta to make him a "last offer" could tell you how much they wanted. Anyways... Hopefully this rotation doesn't collapse.
  3. Nice to hear. Would be great to hear your opinion about this kid Moncada (hopefully they give him some ABs), and the other prospects when you are there.
  4. Salud compadre, enjoy your drink and do not worry about the Sox. It is going to be a tough year for our rotation for sure but as I said if they s*** the bed probably next year they will finally grab a couple of solid pitchers. BTW... Are you ready for FM?
  6. Seems like it is something worse than PED use.
  7. Por cierto, al parecer ya sirven los acentos y algunos caracteres como la "ñ".
  8. Creo que es hora de desempolvar este hilo. Trataré de mantenerlo a flote por si alguien le interesa debatir algún tema de beis en español.
  9. Bingo. This is why I'm not against all $/long contracts, although there is always a risk involved. Also this is why I think it was a mistake letting walk Lester and pass on Shields.
  10. Do not take me wrong I would have preferred Shields over Hamels all the way, but that is not what I'm disputing here.
  11. Which part of the "Hamels has nothing to do with my point" you do not understand? Where did you leave your common sense and reading comp drum?
  12. Again.. it has nothing to do with Hamels or Lee. It is about saying that "31 is the "exit stage right" period of a player's prime" vs. to be all-in for Shields who is not 31 but 33.
  13. but again... why would you even give 80 M to a guy who is not 31 but 33 in the first place if he would eventually s*** the bed... considering that "31 is the "exit stage right" period of a player's prime".
  14. You just can't. You are saying that "31 is the "exit stage right" period of a player's prime". On the other hand you were all-in for Shields who is not 31 but 33. Where is your common sense here? Then you said that 80 million over 4 years is not an obscene amount of money for a pitcher. Then I challenged that argument asking you why would you even give 80 M to a guy who is not 31 but 33 if he would eventually s*** the bed... considering that "31 is the "exit stage right" period of a player's prime". I'm not insulting you nor starting a flame war over this, I just find funny the contradictions here.
  15. if money had not been the problem then they should have signed Lester or Shields, don't you think?, and they are far better than Dempster. While they have money, it is always about the money.
  16. My point has nothing to do with Hamels or Lee. What I can not understand is that you are saying that is not an obscene amount of money for a guy who is in the "exit stage right" period of a player's prime. To me is a lot of money to a guy who eventually is going to s*** the bed.
  17. You are missing the point, why would you give 80 M to a guy who is in the "exit stage right" period of a player's prime in the first place?
  18. I meant Shields.
  19. But isn't it still a lot of money for a guy who is in the "exit stage right" period of a player's prime.?
  20. So why did you want Shields?
  21. Wait, wait...You cannot understand how that's my conclusion after your post.? Tell me, Which teams do you think are still interested in Hamels?
  22. MLBTR would not be my source to confirm my assumption. All I'm doing is guessing just as everyone else. Aside Amaro and the teams involved, Nobody knows what is going on with Hamels status these days. As I said if Lee is healthy I think more teams will emerge and try to sign him.
  23. Cop-out? Haha nahhh So what you are saying is that we are the only team who is pushing for Hamels right now?. You can guess, but you do not have facts. As I said, if Lee is healthy I see at least the teams that are interested in Hamels pushing for Lee.
  24. Probably the same teams that are interested in Hamels.
  25. If Lee is healthy and shows that in ST, I see a lot of teams interested in him. If so... Money is not the only thing that is going to be attached to him.
