And while Cuddyer is unquestionably hitting better than Beltran against lefties this year, Carlos has a career .291 average off of left-handed pitching. His .232 this season is only in a sample of around 100 at-bats. Cuddyer's had about the same amount of at-bats against left-handers and while hitting around .360 off of them is impressive, his career average is .293. I'd rather take Beltran who's proven that he can hit lefties and isn't going to be a butcher in the outfield. Plus, he's an absolute beast in the postseason. I hope that's one move that gets made, I wouldn't mind Matt Garza either.
